Purpose of the role : To provide a timely and effective services to Waitemata District Health Board staff KEY TASKS Opening and closing the Library Issues and returns Shelving Photocopying and scanning Interloans Literature searches Teaching users how to search Monthly Statistics EXPECTED OUTCOMES Library is available for use during core business hours Library stock loans recorded effectively Accurate and efficient Items produced as required Items which Waitemata DHB Library has requested from other sources: search Te Puna/overseas suppliers Use Library interloans database (DBText/Inmagic) to record and administer Items requested by other Libraries Supplies in electronic or print format Find information available and accessible using appropriate resources including: Medical databases Other databases Te Puna Internet Library catalogue Users can understand how to do their own searches competently With other staff members help in calculating monthly statistics Statutory & Treaty of Waitangi obligations Ensures the professional and political integrity of WDHB by carrying out all functions in compliance of the Treaty of Waitangi and by demonstrating a serious commitment to keeping the treaty alive.
