They will be judged in a similar way to Baby Puppy Class, the Champion Class is the ONLY breed class they may enter in, they will go forward to Best Champion in breed and Best Champion in show. Champions are any dog that has attained the title of Champion under IKC rules or any KC recognised by the IKC.
Rules and regulations 11.THE SHOW will be held under the rules and regulations of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd and exhibitors will be deemed to be aware of same. 2. VENUE; The parochial Hall, Collooney, Co/Sligo. No smoking allowed in hall. 3. JUDGING; Starts at 11.00am sharp. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit arriving late or missing its class. 4. ENRTY FEES: 8.00 Euros for first dog in first class 4 Euro for each additional entry or dog of same ownership. No entry will be accepted without correct entry fee. CLOSING DATE; 1 st of October (postmark) 2018 online 8 th of October 2018 Midnight Northern Ireland exhibitors please ensure to use correct postage for Euro area. 5. CLASS DEFINITIONS Baby Puppy is confined to dogs between four months and under six months of age on the day of the show computed from and inclusive of its date of birth. Dogs entered in this class are not eligible to challenge for the Green Star and may not take part in any further competition except Best Baby Puppy In Show Puppy Class is confined to dogs over 6 and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show Junior Class is confined to dogs over 9 and under 18 months of age on the day of the Show. An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 calendar months of age on the day of the Show. Open Class is confined to dog over 15 months on the day of the Show. Champion class is confined to dogs who have gained the title of champion under Irish Kennel Club rules or under a recognised Kennel Authority confirmed by the date of closing entries. Veteran Class is for dogs over eight years of age on the day of the Show. Please note a Veteran Dog who is also a Champion may enter in either Veteran or Champion Class but not both. Brace Class is for two exhibits of the same or different sexes of the same breed belonging to the same person, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than brace or team. Stakes Classes are limited to Puppy, Junior, Open, Veteran, Brace, and Champion and are open to more than one breed or variety. All exhibits in stakes classes except for those entered in Veteran Stakes, must be entered in a standard breed class. Restricted / Special Classes (i.e. Colour Classes etc) The dog must be entered in one of the standard classes scheduled for the breed, as above. Junior Diploma Open Shows and Championship Shows. Providing that they are between the age of 6 and 18 months on the day of the show, and win a total of 12 Junior Diploma points for the J.D. Title in the following manner. Open Shows: (1) They are placed 1 st in any class, whether for their Breed if scheduled. Or in any other class within their Group i.e. A.V. Toy etc. or any mixed breed class within their group at Open Show level. Only one class win, per show gaining 1 point. A bonus of 2 points will be awarded if the exhibit wins its Relevant Group on one occasion. (2) Championship Shows: 2 class wins at Championship Shows under 18 months must also be attained, each class win gains 2 points. The Judge/s must sign all awards on the day, giving details of the show and Class/Group won Note Only one class win (1 point Open Show) (2 Points CH. Show) and (One Open Show Group win, 2 points) per show, will count in the total. Multiple wins at one show will not count. (I.K.C.) FOULING Carrot; We are very proud of the effort and work that we put into making our show successful and enjoyable for you the exhibitor, please help us and show your appreciation by cleaning up after yourself and your dog. Stick; The IKC rule on fouling will be strickly adhered to. If your dog fouls the venue and you do not clean it up You Will Be Fined 30.00. Littering will also not be tolerated. Reminder; As a dog owner you are at all times an ambassador for dogs. Don t let them or yourselves down by being a slob, Clean Up after yourself and your dog, and don t tolerate other people not doing the same.

EYE TESTING CLINIC DR Terry Grimes will hold an eye testing clinic in conjunction with the show. The fee per dog will be a reduced rate of Euro 45.00 A booking fee of Euro 10.00 per dog to be returned with your entry The balance of the fee must be paid BEFORE testing and all cheque/po made out to Sligo & District Canine Club Dogs for testing do not have to be entered at the show but Must be Registered & Microchipped N.B. Don t forget to bring your dogs registration papers with you - either Irish or English Kennel club and if your dog has previously had an eye test bring a copy of that test also.
