We also have forms available in the office. Please make sure to check with your club advisors for forms and more information. Rabbit and beef projects must be brought to check in/tag in. Market rabbit fryer forms are due May 1 or at check in on May 6. Please see dates under upcoming events. Hogs, dairy, breeding poultry, goats, sheep, dogs, and small animals all require fair entry forms due May 1. Horse I.D. and lease forms are also due May 1. (Horse PAS & fair entries are due June 1.) All department guidelines are posted at clinton.osu.edu under 4-H and junior fair requirements. Review each entry form for photo requirements. Queen Contest Deadlines Applications are due to OSU Extension by May 15th for the following department queens, fair queen or king. Ages requirements are also listed below. Do you want to be on the RADIO??? (walhradio.com) The local online radio station located at 12 W Main Street would like to interview 4-H members and volunteers in the studio. Listen tomorrow, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. to hear from three of our teen leaders that represent camp counselors, Fashion & Nutrition Board and Junior Fair Board. All you have to do is go to walhradio.com and click on listen live. If you want to stop in and share about your 4-H projects and experiences please call me or send me an email at montague.18@osu.edu. The station does pre-recordings on Thursday & Fridays at approximately 6 p.m.be prepared to answer some questions, but also share your name, 4-H activities & projects, how long you ve been in 4-H, what you like best about the program, why did you join and is anyone else in your family involved or were they! Over spring and summer we would like all clubs to participate. Please share this with other members and let me know if you plan to go. WE NEED NEW MEMBERS AND VOLUTNEERS EACH WEEK! Camp 2015 Junior camp forms are available in the Extension office. Camp forms are posted at clinton.osu.edu! The cost is $175. We couldn t provide a multiple camper discount due to budget. Camp forms are due May 8 OR until camp is full. Camperships are also available and the
forms are available at the OSU Extension office. CAMPERSHIPS for junior camp are due May 1. Junior 4-H Camp is June 1-5 at 4-H Camp Graham. Expect the Unexpected! Cloverbud camp is June 22 at 4-H Camp Graham. Forms coming soon! Wild About Animals! Quality Assurance (QA) 4-H/FFA members who want to show and/or sell market steers, market hogs, market lambs, market goats, market dairy steers, feeder calves, lactating dairy cattle, market poultry, market rabbits, and lactating dairy goats must attend a Quality Assurance Training at a designated time before the fair. In Clinton County many of the QA/PQA sessions are geared towards a specific department and held with a clinic. ALL county QA events will qualify a member for any market or lactating project including swine. We have two QA/PQA sessions left this season: May 16 at 10 a.m. at Blanchester High School & June 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fairground/Expo 2015 Skillathon Topics by Department Below you will find each department plus the main topic areas to help you prepare for skillathon. Members are also responsible to know information in the Clinton County Junior Fair Requirements Book. Use projects books, the Cl. Co. Junior Fair Requirements Book, resource books and the skillathon kits as study resources. Don t forget to check the Cl. Co. Junior Fair Requirements Book to see if you need a project book or insert for skillathon.
