President s Bark November 2016 I am writing this report with mixed feelings. This month marks the end of my latest tenure as president. Much like a proud father letting his son or daughter go, I feel the loss yet I am proud of what the future holds. The Club and its membership have grown steadily over the past several years with those members with less time in the organization stepping forward to help lead this group. I am gratified that the club will continue to be successful without my leadership. This is a reflection of all of you. Our Christmas party will be held on Friday, December 2nd starting at 6:00pm again at our home. We will have the gift giveaway again with anyone bringing a gift getting to select a gift. As always, I look forward to our Christmas party and enjoy our times together. While the main purpose of the club is to promote pure bred dogs and host the fall dog shows, we cannot forget that our main focus is to support each other and reinforce and enhance our friendships. As everyone should know, we will hold the final session of handling class on November 16th. We could not make this happen without all the volunteers within the club who conduct the class. I want to congratulate the new Richland Kennel Club leadership team. This team reflects the willingness that our members have to take leadership positions to move this club forward. I truly look forward to mentoring these new members and helping them be successful. In closing, we are approaching the time of year that presents many challenges in preparing for family gettogethers and in fighting the crowds when shopping for Christmas. While this time presents many opportunities for frustration and anger, always remember that these challenges make the good times better. I think and care for all of you and want your holiday time to be memorable and enjoyable. Please be safe and always have fun! Your President Chuck Ames
