Open Class: For boys and girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have won three first places with competition present in a Novice Junior Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. Novice & Open Classes are divided by age: 9 to 12 years, 12 to 15 years, 15 to 18 years. Master Class: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. Junior Handlers must include their AKC Junior Handler Number on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC at (919) 233-9767. Be sure all information for Junior classes is entered on the front and back of the entry form. Bitches in season are not eligible. Notice to Exhibitors The building will be available from 7-9pm on Friday, prior to the show for exhibitor setup. On Saturday and Sunday, the building will open at 7am, and will close one hour after the conclusion of judging. Dogs may not be left overnight. No guard will be on duty. Chalking of dogs is permitted only in *outside* designated area. There is no chalking in the building. Host clubs are subject to penalties for indoor chalking. Exhibitors and handlers will be responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates and grooming area. All trophies must be claimed on the day of the show. None will be mailed. Unclaimed awards become the property of the host club. The judge is not required to wait for dogs. It is the responsibility of the owner/ handler to have the dog at ringside when required and without being called. All dogs present must be held on a leash, or confined to a crate except when being judged. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations Unentered dogs may be asked to leave. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The host club, Clantyre Show Secretary Services and its agents, employees, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. No refunds for bitches in season. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the show giving club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made. Effective January 1, 2008 Event Service Fees on all AKC events will be $3 for the first entry and $3 for each additional entry in addition to the $.50 recording fee for the first entry of each dog in Obedience. (American Kennel Club Rules, Chapter 11, Section 2.) Credit Card Payment Online Payment will be accepted up to the closing date and time via PayPal.
