Please make this show a success, and future shows a possibility. This is a new venue, and we would like to return. Please be conscious of your dogs; be sure there are no accidents in the Lobby, and clean up immediately if there are. There will be Clean-Up baskets in the Lobby and on each floor. If you have puppies or veterans, PICK THEM UP and carry them outside and do not let males eliminate right outside the lobby door. Thank you. Thursday, August 16, 2012 4:00 PM SEMINAR: DO IT YOURSELF A.I. Anne Eckersley Has your special little boy grown into a Champion and you want to share him with others? Are you tired of paying outrageous vet fees for stud dog extractions? Do you want to learn how to do Artificial Insemination yourself? In this 60 minute seminar, renowned Cavalier breeder, Anne Eckersley, will review the basic steps for successful artificial insemination. The session will include: Timing and progesterone testing for the bitch. Getting the dog ready 6

Equipment Collection Insemination Shipping Anne will be available for a question and answer period at the end of the presentation. Welcome Table: As you check in to the hotel on Thursday, join us on Thursday evening when we gather in the Ballroom to set up the ring and to enjoy an informal get together. There will be a Welcome Table with people to help you get settled in. Hospitality Table: If in doubt and if all else fails, stop by the Hospitality Table and ask your questions. Our CNE members help you courteously with any problem you may have. We offer all sorts of hand-outs and information. We offer bottled water, snacks, pens and paraphernalia that you may need during the weekend. Pick up your arm-bands and your catalog or buy a catalog from the Hospitality Table. We are here to make your weekend enjoyable, easy and memorable! Supplemental Entry Form and proof of foreign registration are required if you need to enter a dog using its Foreign Registry Number. The Supplemental Entry Form can be downloaded from the club s website. Applications to register the litter (if you are the breeder) or the individual dog (if import) must have been submitted to the Registration Office. If you have any questions or cannot download the form, please contact Joan Parker. SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER ON YOUR OWN WITH A GROUP! What??? LANGHORNE ALE HOUSE. We ve made arrangements with the LANGHORNE ALE HOUSE, about a ½ mile from the hotel. Make your Call Ahead reservation for your group, mention you re with the Cavalier Club, and the Manager will seat us all in the same room. Steaks, seafood, burgers, salads and wings at reasonable prices. Full Service Bar at Langhorne Ale House features more than 75 beers, as well as wine and liquor. Class Sponsorships are $10.00 per class and greatly help defray the costs of the lovely prizes awarded in each class. Sponsor names are printed in the Catalog. Sales Tables may be reserved for $50.00 per 6-foot table. To reserve space, please send your requirements and a check payable to CNE to Show Secretary, Joan Parker. Space is limited. Children s Handling (At the conclusion of the Dog Classes, Before Winners Dog) Friday, Saturday and Sunday watch our rising stars show their pups. Health Clinics are being offered on Saturday only starting at 8:30 AM (hearts & eyes). Walk-ins will be accommodated if at all possible. Dr. James W. Buchanan, DVM, M Med Sci is conducting the Heart Clinic. Fee for auscultation is $30. Dr. Michael H. Brown, DVM, MS is conducting the Eye Clinic fee is $30. Recall, Sit-Stay and Down-Stay. Versatility: This class is for dogs that are capable of performing the Open and Utility exercises. Brace: Two Cavaliers to perform the Novice exercises in unison. The dogs need not be in the same ownership or the same color, but must be handled by only one handler. Dogs may be shown unattached or coupled, the coupling device to be not less than 6 inches overall length. Whichever method is used, it must be continued throughout all exercises. Either or both dogs in a brace may be entered in another class(es) at the same trial. Veteran: Cavaliers 7 years and older to perform the Novice exercises. RALLY OFFICIAL RALLY CLASSES (Qualifying scores earn legs toward rally titles.) Rally Excellent B: Dogs holding the C-RA title. A dog completing the Rally Excellent (C-RE) title may continue to complete in this class indefinitely. Rally Excellent A: Dogs holding the C-RA title, but not holding any Novice, Open or Utility obedience title or any Rally Excellent title in any registry. Rally Advanced B: Dogs holding the C-RN title. A dog completing the Rally Advanced (C-RA) title may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. Rally Advanced A: Dogs holding the C-RN title, but not holding any Novice, Open or Utility obedience title or any Rally Advanced Rally Novice B: Any dog may compete in this class until a qualifying score in the Rally Advanced Class is earned. PREFERRED CLASSES Preferred classes will be offered for any Cavaliers jumping one height division lower than its required height division according to AKC regulations. At trials held on consecutive days, a Cavalier entered in at least one Preferred class may not be entered in any Regular class. An additional 5 seconds will be added to the standard course time for all preferred classes. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT BEST COLORS, AM BRED & BRED BY As a result of suggestions from our members, the CKCSC-USA Board of Directors voted to hold an initial round of competition for the Special Awards Best Blenheim, Tricolor, Ruby, and Black-and-Tan, Best Am Bred and Best Bred By for each sex after Best Puppy for that sex is awarded. After Best Puppy, all undefeated Blenheims, Tricolors, Rubies, Black-and-Tans, Am Bred and Bred By for that sex will be called back into the ring to compete for Best of that color of that sex. After Best Puppy In Show is awarded, the two winners of each color will return to the ring to compete for the In Show winner of that color. Rosettes will be awarded to the color winner of each sex. 16
