cloth Jill s coat is made of cloth. Her dress is made of cloth. All her clothes are made of cloth. clothes The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes. When along came a blackbird and snapped off her nose. The maid hangs out the clothes. They are made of cloth. cloud Can you see a cloud in the sky? The wind seems to chase the clouds. They rush across the sky on a windy day. Some clouds look white. Some clouds look black. A black cloud brings rain. clown Jack and Jill saw a clown at the circus. He was a funny man. He did funny tricks.

coal What do you burn on the fire? We burn coal. Coal is black. Coal comes out of the ground. It is deep down the earth. It is in a coal mine. coat A bear has a coat. It is made of fur. A bird has a coat. It is made of feathers. A tree has a coat. It is made of bark. Jill s coat is made of cloth. cold Jill puts on her coat, because it is a cold day. The coat will keep her warm. If she has no coat, she may catch a cold. She will feel cold. Then she will be ill. color There are many colors in jack s paintbox. He can color pictures with his paints. He can use green, blue, yellow, red, white and black.

cook Mother can cook. She cooks in the kitchen. She cooks food. When the food is cooked, we eat it. Mother is a good cook. She likes cooking. Mother cooks the dinner. copy Jill has two dolls. They are called Milly and Molly. They are both alike. They are twin dolls. Milly is a copy of Molly. Molly is a copy of Milly. cottage Little Red Riding Hood went to visit her Granny. Cross the bridge to get to the other side of the river. Go across the bridge. This is a red cross. crow Early in the morning you can hear the cock crow. Cock-a-doodle-do he crows. A crow is a big black bird. The crow says, Caw-caw! crown The king wears a crown on his head. It is like a hat. There are jewels in the crown.

The curtain is made of cloth. We draw the curtains at night.
