Attention Exhibitors Cancellation of Trial: These trials may be canceled in the event of an act of God (extreme weather conditions) or a terrorist attack. No refunds will be given if the trial cannot be held or completed due to riots, civil disturbances, an act of God, extreme or dangerous weather conditions, public emergency, or any other reason beyond the control of CKC. REFUNDS AND FEES: A $3.00 AKC Service Fee & AKC Recording Fee of $0.50 will be required for each dog entered at each licensed or member club show, Obedience Trial or Tracking test. This recording fee is to be collected by the trial giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2). The recording fee is included in the entry fee. A $3.50 AKC fee will be required for each dog entered in Rally. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fees will be made. Postdated and returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The trial giving Club will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check ($35.00). Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a cash only basis. Bitches who come in season after the closing date will have the entry fee less $5.00, per class entered, refunded upon written certification by a licensed veterinarian to the effect that the bitch in question is in season on the day of the trial. NOTIFICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE TRIAL SECRETARY BEFORE 8 A.M. (CST) Saturday December 29, 2018 and Sunday December 30, 2018. CKC CLUB RULES: No smoking is permitted in the building. No X-pens or baby strollers are allowed in the building. PLEASE SILENCE your cell phone while inside the trial building. No flash photography will be allowed inside the trial building. No flexi retracting leads in trial building. When exercising your dog(s) please clean up after them! Dispose of poop bags in the trash containers provided outside the building. CKC assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, their dogs or property, children or guests. Neither the trial committees nor the trial-giving club will be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog on the trial grounds, whether as a result of an accident or any other cause. It is clearly understood that every dog entered in the trial is in the care, custody and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the trial premises. Exhibitors, Owners & Agents assume all responsibility for dogs & equipment on the club grounds and building. JUMP HEIGHT: All classes requiring jumps will be arranged in jump height order. Ascending order will be used on Saturday and descending order on Sunday. If you are entering any of these classes jump, height is a required part of your entry. Please refer to AKC Obedience and Rally Regulations for the description of classes, eligibility, and proper jump heights. ERRORS ON ENTRIES: Owners are responsible for the accuracy of the information required on the entry form. Changes, additions, or corrections to an entry, entry substitutions, or cancellations by the owner must be received in writing by the Trial Secretary prior to the closing date of the trial. Other means of notification will not be accepted. TRANSFERS (move-ups): Regulations: The move-up may be requested if, according to the owner s records, the dog has completed the requirements for a title after the closing date of the trial in which the move-up entry is being made. A request for a Move-Up must be in writing and given to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. Forms will be available at the Trial Secretary s table. JUDGING: Exhibitors are responsible for being ready at the ring gate for judging. The Judging Program will be sent to exhibitors approximately one week prior to the Trial. Judging schedule conflicts should be resolved with the judge at the trial, prior to the start of the class. Neither the Trial Secretary nor any other individual is obligated to call or notify exhibitors when they are due in the ring for judging. Judges are not required to wait for any exhibitor. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. SHOW SITE: All dogs must be held on a leash or confined to a crate except when in the ring for judging. Dogs must be on a leash when being exercised, trained or when warming up. No exercise pens or dog cots are allowed in the building. Please maximize available crating space but do not crate within 10 feet of the ring gates. Dogs must be removed from the building immediately following the end of the Trial. CKC reserves the right to remove any dog in distress in a parked vehicle or crate. Please keep your crating area, the trial site, and motel rooms and grounds clean so we may continue to be welcomed at these facilities. CONDUCT: It is expressly understood that all owners/agents/exhibitors are solely responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any person(s) whose dog and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the trial site. In such cases no refund of any fees/monies paid will be made.
All owners/agents/exhibitors and other persons attending these trials hereby waive any claim against the club or its agents, for any losses, damages, or injuries affecting self, dogs, children, or personal property. WARM-UPS and training should be conducted in accordance with Chap 2, Sect 26 of the AKC Obedience Regulations. CONCESSIONS: Beverages and snacks will be available at the show site. Fast food restaurants are located near-by, or you may bring your own food. CATALOGS: Trial catalogs are available by advanced sale for $5.00. Please indicate the payment on your entry form and include the fee. A limited number of catalogs will be sold at the trial. VACCINATIONS: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name.
