Tendering of an N.S.F cheque shall be considered NON payment of entry fees and is an offence punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards by the CKC.

EXTRACTS FROM THE DOG SHOW RULES BREEDS, CLASSES, AWARDS AND STAKES 12.2.1 Regular Official Classes: All of these classes must be divided by sex. Note: no dogs under the age of six months on the first day of the show shall be allowed within the Show precincts as defined in the Premium List. Every dog within these precincts (exceptions are IN TRANSIT AREA) must be entered in one of the Regular Official Classes or in Exhibition Only or Exhibition Only 3-6 months. JUNIOR PUPPY: shall be for dogs at least six months of age on the first day of the Show and under nine months of age on the day of the show. SENIOR PUPPY: shall be for dogs 9 months of age and under twelve (12) months of age on the day of the show. 12-18 MONTH for dogs over 12 months of age but under 18 months of age. CANADIAN BRED: shall be for dogs born in Canada, Champions of any country excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR: shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the Breeder. The handler must be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog in this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. OPEN CLASS: shall be for all dogs. SPECIALS ONLY: is for dogs which have a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and have attained the required points for Championship status including at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. Should a dog which is entered in this class be found either not to be registered or has not completed the requirements for Championship status, all awards earned at the show will be cancelled. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy if eligible. MOVING DOGS TO SPECIALS ONLY : A dog which is individually registered in the records of the CKC and has completed the requirements for a Championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of the closing of entries for a show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or handler at least 1 hour prior to the judging of the breed. NOTE: Class dogs may be moved to Specials Only as long as the registration number is on the Move Up Sheet. ALTERED: All dogs 6 months of age or older on the day of the show who have been spayed or neutered by veterinary procedure. OBEDIENCE CLASSES OFFERED: Pre-Novice, Novice A, B & C, Novice Intermediate, Open (H) A & B, Open (18) A & B, Utility A & B, Veterans (Friday only), Exhibition Only. RALLY OBEDIENCE CLASSES: Novice A & B, Intermediate, Advanced A & B, Excellent A & B, Master, Exhibition Only. NON REGULAR CLASSES OFFERED: BABY PUPPY: dogs 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the show may be entered. VETERAN: Dogs must be 7 years of age and over on the day of the show. Dogs can be spayed or neutered. BRACE: This class is for 2 dogs of the same breed (not necessarily the same sex), same colour, size, gait and stride. NOTICE TO FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Attention U.S. Exhibitors: Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in U.S. funds it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated. Thank you. TRACKING FEE FOR NON-MEMBERS Effective January 1, 2011, the CKC will be instituting a tracking fee for all Canadian residents who participate in a CKC event, but are not CKC members. In order to cover the clerical costs of recording and tracking points and awards earned at a CKC event, a participating non-member can choose to purchase a CKC membership or pay a dog-specific tracking fee ($62.40). This only applies to dogs wholly owned by non-members and is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the CKC to efficiently manage recording and tracking points, it s important that non-members select one of the two options within 30 days of notification or, unfortunately, we will be forced to cancel any awards and titles. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred.

(Also includes Ex Only 3-6 months) JUNIOR HANDLING Obedience Junior Handling Competitions On both Friday and Sunday - during the lunch break AND Conformation Junior Handling Competitions On both Saturday and Monday during the lunch break Entries will be taken 10:00-11:00 a.m. each day. Entry Fee: $2.00 Classes Offered: Pee Wee (non-competitive) / Junior Novice / Intermediate Novice / Senior Novice / Junior Open / Intermediate Open / Senior Open. Age Structure: Pee Wee (4-6 years), Junior (7-11 years), Senior (12-18 years). Held under CKC Rules. Dogs handled in the competition must be entered in the show/trial on that day. The SKOC will be offering: Prizes for all Pee Wee s; Ribbons for Class 1 through 4 in all classes; and a for the Best Overall Junior Handler **Please Note: Effective Jan. 1, 2016 - Section 3.4.1 All Junior Handlers with the exception of Pee Wee s, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked.

CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: Competing* 1 2 3-5 6-9 10-12 13 or more Points 0 1 2 3 4 5 *Includes the dog awarded Winners In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall NOT be included in the calculation for points. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF BREED at the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF WINNERS, then all dogs defeated directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS only, then all the dogs of the same sex in the class competition shall be included the total. The number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per Section 15.1. In addition to championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded WINNERS, which also places in the regular Group competition, shall be credited with the following additional points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level. In no case can a dog earn more then five points at a single show.

SHOW RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION 1. The SKOC will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability, in the event of an accident or other misfortune to dogs, exhibitors and/or patrons, or theft of any kind. 2. Showing correct information on entry forms is the responsibility of the entrant. The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to the CKC rules. Entry Forms must be of the same size and format as the Official CKC entry forms or they will be rejected. 3. No entry will be accepted, unless accompanied by the entry fees. 4. We request separate entry forms when the same dog is entered in Conformation & Obedience OR more than one class in Obedience OR Rally O. 5. Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, sick, lame, excused by the veterinarian or judge, in season (except for Obedience participants) or barred from competition because it has been entered incorrectly. 6. OBEDIENCE entry fees will gladly be REFUNDED to exhibitors whose bitches are in season during our Trials and MUST be withdrawn, IF a dated veterinarian s certificate is produced prior to the Trial. 7. Withdrawal of entries prior to the Closing Date may be made by phone but MUST BE FOLLOWED UP IN WRITING or electronic notification to the Show Secretary by the official closing date. If notification is not received, the dog will remain entered in the show. 8. Dogs will not be allowed in the Show Building unless they are entered in each show daily or In Transit. 9. Dogs must be kept under control at all times. 10. In the event of a POSTAL STRIKE, contact the following for information: the SKOC Show Secretary. 11. No entries will be accepted, altered, cancelled or substituted after the Official Closing Date Additional Show Information 1. Group judging will follow breed judging through to BIS whenever possible. No two groups will be judged simultaneously. Should a conflict arise, the Show Secretary will determine which Group will be judged first. 2. Exercise Pens will be allowed at the discretion of the Show Superintendent. PLUS: (flooring must be covered with plastic or expens will not be allowed). 3. RV Sites are now Pre Booked. Please note the campsites are a bit of a walk from the show. (no parking before 2pm on Thursday). 4. There are outside dog bathing facilities available.. 5. THE SCOOP-UP BYLAWS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED! When exercising dogs do not use the Park areas. Exhibitors are responsible for any accidents their dogs have in the rings or elsewhere. This is a SELF CLEAN show. 6. The Show Site is set up and opens at 2:00 PM on Thursday. Opens at 6:30 AM Friday-Sunday and will be closed by 11:00 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 7. Dogs will be allowed to stay in the building overnight however, they will be left at the owner s/handler s own risk. 8. Campsites must be empty of all personal property when you check out. *Please note that the RV Park is approx 1 ½ blocks from the show site Only one camping unit (tent, tent-trailer, camper, camper-truck/van, camping trailer or motorhome) permitted in each campsite. The permit holder is responsible for the conduct and behaviour of their family, guests and pets. Everyone must observe all campground regulations and conditions. Permits must be visibly displayed in/on door of unit Each permit is valid for one site only. Fires are not permitted. Quiet hours between 10:30pm and 7:00am. Mini bikes, dirt bikes and ATV s are NOT permitted in the park. No bicycle riding after dusk. Pets: Owners are resonsible fo the care, control and behaviour of their pets at all times Promplty clean up after your pets. Keep pets on a leash (not exceeding 2 metres in length) at all times. Keep pets quiet and ensure they do not become a nuisance, danger or threat to the comfort or safety of any other person Ensure that pets do not damage or destroy any property. Management reserves the right to evict anyone from the campground for detrimental conduct or failure to observe park rules and regulations.
