These winter calvers sold to 1400.00, 1370.00 twice, 1320.00 and 1300.00. In calf heifers from the same herd sold to 1400.00 and 1320.00. Philip Baldock sold Charolais bulling heifers 18 months to 1110.00 and 1070.00. Gordon Turner, Promised Land Farm took the top honour in the steers with his 3 homebred Limousin X 20 months at 1245.00. Sulham Estates sold Pure Simmental steers at 1240.00 followed by Ron and Sue Varney at 1230.00, Oxenford Farms followed at 1190.00 and 1145.00. Ron and Sue also sold their Limousin X at 1195.00 and 1185.00 followed by M/s J Hanson & Son at 1185.00. C W Lear & Partners sold their Limousin X steers at 1135.00 and took 1100.00 for their Charolais X steer. Chris Sabine topped the suckled calves at 990.00 for a pair of Blonde X. Butler Farms followed at 960.00 for Limousin X, Pinner Park Farms 940.00 for British Blue X. The best young Aberdeen Angus X came from Butler Farms at 950.00. Numbers are slightly less on the week due to a cancellation but still large numbers forward nationally, however there is no increase in demand due to mild weather and another 2/3 weeks before festive demand. Aberdeen Angus to 3.90p/kg, Shorthorns to 365p/kg and Herefords 355p/kg. Steers Some grand sorts placed on the week; Aberdeen Angus X Belgian Blue (U+3) at 1588 topped the section with another at 1551 (R4L). British Blue X; leading the continentals at 1572 (U+3), 1529 (-U4L) and 1516 (-U4L). Charolais X to 1505 (-U4L) and 1474 (R4L), Limousin X to 1485 (-U3). Other native breeds were led by a Shorthorn X at 1457 (R4L) and a South Devon 1424. Not so many dairy sorts placed, Holsteins selling to 1174 (-O4L) and 1156 (-O3). Dairy cows to 726 for O2 with several P+ placed at 450-650 depending on weight. Over 30 month clean cattle were topped by Angus steers at 1460 (R4L) and 1408 (R4H). Charolais to 1453 (R3) and Holsteins to 1134 (-O4L). Heifers to 1337 (O+4H), Aberdeen Angus and Limousins to 1042 (R4L). Over 36 month clean came to 1127 for U+ once calved Limousins.
