22222222222222222 AGILITY TRIAL PREMIUM Sanctioned by: Australian Shepherd Club of America Dog Agility of West Georgia ASC Spring into Agility All Breeds and Mixed Breeds Welcome! April 8 & 9, 2017 Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center (Back Arena D) 1855 Calvary Church Road, Gainesville GA (One Ring Under Cover Packed Dirt) Judge: Kay Stimson, Dallas, TX Classes offered: Saturday: 2 Gamblers, 2 Regular, 2 Jumpers Sunday: 2 Gamblers, 2 Regular, 2 Jumpers Entries limited to 350 runs/day Entries open: February 15, 2017 Entries close: March 31, 2017 If trial does not fill, day of show entries will be accepted. Contact the trial secretary for availability. Trial Secretary: Jill Baska, 404-538-6646 or jillbaska@gmail.com Trial Chairman: Sally Gerlach, 678-454-1000 or sally@thgerlachs.org What is ASCA agility? Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) agility is open to all dogs, both purebred and mixes. Courses are typically fast and flowing. Can any dog enter? Yes, ASCA agility is open to all breeds and mixes over 18 months old. An ASCA registration number is not required to enter the trial. However, if you want ASCA to track your qualifying legs and issue your title certificates, then your dog must have an ASCA registration number (Aussies) or a QT number. QT numbers may be applied for at time of entry (application in this premium) or later. We ll submit the application for you if you give it to us (with payment) at the trial. Any dog 15 months or older may enter the FEO (for exhibition only) division and jump at a lower height. No points toward titles are earned in this division. Do I have to start in Novice? No, you may enter at a higher level. However, any qualifying scores will first be used to satisfy the lower title requirements. Example: if you do not have any ASCA agility titles and you enter in Open Regular, your first 30 points in Open will be used to satisfy the Novice title before being applied to the Open title. Once you qualify at a higher level, you cannot go back to a lower level. Is training in the ring allowed? Yes, reasonable training in the ring is allowed. You will receive an elimination but will have standard course time to finish. Toys or treats are not allowed in the ring. What is the Ace program? ACE stands for Agility Competition Enthusiast. Any dog, regardless of age, will be allowed to jump one jump height lower than their regular height. They will also be allowed more time. This program has its own titles and is similar to AKC Preferred or USDAA Performance Program. ACE Senior Dog division is for dogs 10 yrs and older. These dogs will have an additional 4 jump height reduction and additional time. Example: a 10 yr old dog with a 20 wither height can in ACE Senior Dog division. What is required for a title? The regular class requires 30 points to complete a title. A clean run is awarded 10 pts, a faulted run (less than 5 seconds over time or one knocked bar) is awarded 5 pts. Gamblers and Jumpers requires 20 pts (2 clean runs) for a title. You can stay at the same level after completing a title to work toward Outstanding or Superior titles, or move up.

Notice to Exhibitors -This trial is open to all dogs being at least eighteen (18) months of age, including purebred and non-purebred, except bitches in season, dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness that may affect the dog s mental or physical performance or dogs exhibiting any signs of aggression toward people or other dogs. -Dogs are not required to have an ASCA registration, LEP, or QT number to enter this trial. Handlers do not need to be ASCA members. ASCA requires registration of all non-asca registered dogs in order to track and record these dogs for ASCA titles. If you wish to continue to have your qualifying scores recorded and receive ASCA titling certificates, you must register your dog and become a service member of ASCA at the time of registration. Forms will be available at the trial, as well as included in this premium and on the ASCA website, www.asca.org. -The management will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog exhibited, or for the possessions of any exhibitor whether the result was by accident or any other cause. It is distinctly stood that every dog at this event is in the care and custody and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the show committee be asked to leave the site. In such case, no entry fees will be refunded. -No entry shall be accepted for a dog or handler disqualified from the ASCA agility program, a dog or handler disqualified from all ASCA programs, or a member not in good standing with ASCA. A list of such dogs will be supplied by the business office along with the sanctioning paperwork. -Dogs must be on leash when not competing in the ring. Please clean up after yourself and your dog. -No entry will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riot, civil disobedience, fire, public emergency, act of God or act of a public enemy or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. -There will be no refunds for entries withdrawn after the closing date, or in the event a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless for the reason for the dismissal. Refunds will be issued for bitches that come in season, if notification in writing or by email is received before the trial begins. -Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $30.00 service charge for returned checks. -No food, toys, other aids or devices will be permitted on the course or within 10 feet of the rings at any time. Dogs must run naked no collars allowed. -Any dog which demonstrates aggression towards any person or any dog, whether inside or outside the ring, must be excused from the trial. Any dog which the judge feels is not in enough control to perform all obstacles in a safe manner will be excused from the trial. In order to have ASCA trial points tracked and to receive titling certificates, each non-asca registered dog will be required to have an ASCA QT Number. This is a one-time fee of $10/dog. At the time of applying for the QT number, the individual owner must also be an ASCA member (minimum membership type, Service, is required). ASCA membership does not have to be maintained in subsequent years. It will be the responsibility of the owner to identify previous ASCA points earned when applying for a QT Number. Please type or print clearly. Incomplete or illegible forms will be returned. You do not need a QT number in order to compete in Agility or Stock, unless you want to earn ASCA titles. You will need a QT number to enter an Obedience Trial, Rally Trial, or Tracking Test. Your dog does not have to be a purebred to receive a QT number from ASCA. Why would I need or want a QT number for my dog? If you would like your dog s points recorded by ASCA, and receive title certificates in the mail for your accomplishments, you will need to obtain a QT number. What is the total cost for a QT number? In order to obtain a QT number for your dog, you must be a member. The cost for a basic Service Membership is $10 per owner if not already a current member. Your membership is good for one year and does not need to be renewed unless you want to obtain another QT number for another dog after your membership has expired. This membership fee is in addition to the QT number fee of $10 per dog. A QT number is good for the lifetime of the dog. If you only have one dog, the total cost would be $20. For two dogs, the cost would be $30, etc. Mail completed form with check, money order, or credit card information to: ASCA Business Office 6091 E State Hwy 21, Bryan, TX 77808 You may scan/email the form to agility@asca.org or fax to: (979)778-1898 SEC CODE: PLEASE USE THIS SPACE TO PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD Cardholder s Signature EXP: Revised 11/1/16
