e p r i n o m e c t i n 0, 5 % EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON is an endectocide that controls internal and external parasites with broad spectrum and high level of efficacy. EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON for cattle contains eprinomectin, a unique molecule. Whit features like its easy application, broad spectrum, high level of efficacy, wide safety margin and ZERO WITHDRAWAL PERIOD FOR MILK AND MEAT make of this endectocide the ideal product for parasites control, in both beef and dairy cattle and also in lactating cows. It is the only endectocide approved to be used in cattle of all ages and purposes. EEPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON as a 0.5% eprinomectin concentration, enough for internal parasites control (pulmonar and gastrointestinal nematodes) and external parasites control (gadflies, sucking lice, chewing ice, Mange mite and Horn fly) in cattle. www.eprimec.com e p r i m e c z e r o p o u r o n

WHY EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON INSTEAD OF ANOTHER ENDECTOCIDE? Eprimec Zero Pour On was designed to offer powerful parasite control with an easy administration. It contains eprinomectin, a revolutionary molecule that can be used in dairy cattle at any stage of development especially during lactation period. Eprimec Zero Pour On has no withdrawal period in milk and meat. The epinomectrin is rapidly distributed in plasma binding to plasma proteins and since the adipose tissue has poor blood irrigation it allows a longer permanence of this drug in peripheral plasma, to be slightly metabolized and finally eliminated through faeces not through milk. (5) ZERO Withdrawal PENETRATION POWER The POUR ON solution permits an easier application in cattle. Once the solution is applied over the animal skin, it penetrates and incorporates to animal organism; the substance reaches the blood flow to irrigate the animal body. This mechanism allows reaching parasites at any organ, not just in the intestines, including other than sucking blood parasites. Eprimec Zero Pour On is applied with a minimum of effort and handling of the animal, it can also be used under different weather conditions. Its high efficacy, offers a longer residual effect compared to other classic synthetic anthelmintics. Application along the dorsal line HIGH RESISTENCE High effectiveness regardless weather condition. EASY APPLICATION Eprimec Zero Pour On is applied by epicutaneous route on the dorsal line, from withers to the tail base. period in milk and meat PRODUCT FEATURES Broad spectrum. Simultaneously eradicates the most common internal parasites and also effectively controls external parasites. It eradicates immature stages of internal parasites and adult stages of NO DISCARD OF MILK FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION parasites for up to 28 days. It rapidly eliminates worms and prevents egg laying, whichmeans less pastures pollution. It is safe for animals and operators. It has no residues in meat or milk. Sunlight and high temperatures do not affect the product effectiveness. Advanced technology in formulation and applicators (Pourmatic flask). BENEFITS Less handling. Higher productivity. Stress free. Painless application. No side effects. Easy administration. RÁPIDA ABSORCIÓN POUR ON=LESS STRESS FOR THE ANIMAL EXCLUSIVE POURMATIC FLASK With a special dispenser that measures the exact dose without having to use any additional device. WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF A PARASITIC INFESTATION? Even when the levels of a parasitic infestation are low and animals do not show any signs, these can have a significant influence in milk production and weight gain. 80% of grazing livestock have pulmonar and gastrointestinal worms like Ostertagia spp. and Cooperia spp. (1). PARASITIC INFESTATIONS CAN CAUSE: Reduced appetite. Digestive alteration. Alteration in food absorption. Anemia and hypoproteinemia. Decrease in milk yield. Decreased fertility. Changes in body condition and energy metabolism. Reduced weight gain. Production decrease and growth delay. Pastures are constantly contaminated, continuing the infestation cycle. e p r i m e c z e r o p o u r o n www.eprimec.com

e p r i m e c z e r o p o u r o n WHY DO WE HAVE AN INCREASE IN MILK PRODUCTION AND YIELD? WHICH ARE THE BENEFITS IN REPRODUCTIVE YIELD? Once the animals are treated with Eprimec Zero Pour On, they assimilate nutrients, which means an increase in feed conversion rate and production. COMPARATIVE TABLE ABOUT THE EFFECT OF EPRINOMECTRIN OVER MILK PRODUCTION To have first calving heifers is one of the main challenges for dairy herds. In this assay heifers were treated with eprinomectrin and compared to those that did not receive treatment. The first ones improved their pregnancy rates at first service in 20%. (3) What is more, in cows which received the treatment with Eprinomectrin their conception-calving interval was reduced in 13 days having a direct impact over the profitability of the herd. (3). In studies (2,4) that involved more than 2500 cows and first calving heifers treated with 0.5% eprinomectin, a few of them got infested with parasites. The milk production was increased in 4% in cows treated with eprinomectrin compare to those that did not receive treatment. There was an increase in production and in the content of proteins as a result of the treatment. Daily milk production (liters) THE BENEFITS OF EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON IN MILK PRODUCTION EPRIMEC ZERO POUR ON is an endectocide which does not have a WITHDRAWAL PERIOD thus allows selling 100% of the produced milk. (liters) Without treatment Eprinomectrin 0.5% Animals treated with another antiparasitic 4% INCREASE Daily milk production Animals treated with Eprimec Zero Pour On 60 50 40 30 20 10 IMPROVED PREGNACY RATES AT FIRST SERVICE AFTER TREATMENT WITH 0.5% EPRINOMECTIN Pregnancy rates (%) 38 % 58 % Without treatment Eprinomectin 0,5% SAFETY USE DURING PREGNACY AND NURSING 53% INCREASE REDUCTION OF CONCEPTION- CALVING INTERVAL 100 90 80 70 AFTER TREATMENT WITH 0.5% EPRINOMECTRIN Conception-Calving Interval (days) 93 80 Without treatment Eprinomectin 0,5% 14% DECREASE It improves productive yield. It increases milk production and protein content. It helps animals to increase weight gain. Its application does not produce stress in the cattle, thus will not cause a decrease in milk production due to stress by handling. Milk + Residues = Milk without residues = Eprimec Zero Pour On can be used in dairy cattle during nursing period, because it has a broad safety margin. Assays made with three times the indicated therapeutic dose of 0.5 mg/kg of body weight did not show collateral damages in reproductive yield both in bulls and cows. (6)

Effective control of immature and adult worm, sucking and chewing lice, horn flies and scab caused by Sarcoptes scabiei and Chorioptes bovis in dairy cattle. Quickly reduction of egg loads on pastures. Reduction of conception-calving interval. Eprinomectin the endectocide for dairy cattle is the only authorized antiparasitic for this purpose. Zero discard in milk. It helps to increase milk production and its protein. Eprimec Pour on External Pour On Solution Endectocide without withdrawal period in milk and meat Eprinomectin 0,5% Beef cattle and dairy cattle FORMULA: Eprinomectin 0.5 g, Excipients q.s.ad. 100mL. INDICATIONS: Eprimec Zero Pour On is an external topical antiparasitic solution based on Eprinomectin. Due to its formulation and null residual effect when applied over the back of the animals, from withers to the tail base, it forms a film that is perfectly distributed over the whole body surface of the animal, being highly effective for the treatment and control of endoparasites and ectoparasites. Eprimec Zero Pour On is indicated for the treatment and control of parasitic infections caused by mature and immature stages of gastrointestinal nematodes, pulmonar nematodes, lice (chewing and sucking), mites Chorioptes spp., Psoroptes spp. and Sarcoptes spp. ADMINISTRATION ROUTE AND DOSES: Eprimec Zero Pour On is recommended to be applied by epicutaneous route, on the dorsal line from withers to the tail base, at a dose of 0.5 mg of eprinomectin per kg of body weight, which in the practice is equivalent to 1ml for 10 kg of body weight. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: There is no withdrawal period required, thus the milk and meat of the cattle treated with Eprimec Zero Pour On (Eprinomectin 0.5%) can be used for human consumption at any moment of the treatment. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE: Eprimec Zero Pour On is highly effective against all stages of Hypoderma on cattle. However, an appropriate treatment is important. The elimination of Hypoderma lineatum located on esophageal tissue can cause swelling; elimination of H. bovis when located at the vertebral channel can cause tremors or paralysis. The cattle treated with Eprimec Zero Pour On by the end of the fly season can be treated again with Eprimec Zero Pour On during winter without problems. This product is formulated just for topical application on dairy and beef cattle. Do not administer by oral or injectable route. Do not use in other animal species, avermectins can be dangerous in dogs, especially on Collie breed. Rain before or after the treatment does not affect the efficacy of the product. Do not apply on areas of the dorsal line covered with mud or manure. If there is an accidental contact with the product, wash the affected area immediately with soap and water. Empty containers or any residues must be discard keeping the environment free of eprinomectin, for example, incineration or burial. Keep this product out of reach of children and domestic animals. STORAGE: Keep in a dry cool place, protected from light exposure. Store between 8ºC and 30ºC. BIBLIOGRAPHY 1. Cordero del Campillo M.; Rojo Vásquez F. 1999. Veterinary Parasitology. Mc Graw Hill.
