Defending a thesis entitled A Retrospective study on the effect of therapy in dogs with mitral valve disease (tutor: Dr. Michele Borgarelli, PhD, DECVIM CA (Cardiology). From the third year of University: spent a training period at the Veterinary Clinic Monviso (Pinerolo, Torino). March 2004 November 2005: attended the Department of Animal Pathology (Cardiology and Internal Medicine sections) of the University of Veterinary Medicine of Torino under the supervision of Michele Borgarelli, ECVIM CA. From September 2006 to September 2007: spent 1 year of Internship at the University of Veterinary Medicine of Torino under the supervision of dr. Michele Borgarelli, Dipl. ECVIM CA and Prof. Paolo Buracco, Dipl. ECVS. March 2007: spent 1 month at the Veterinary Clinic Arcella in Padova, under the supervision of David Chiavegato, DMV, PhD. During this period I especially improved my skill in echocardiography and abdominal ultrasound.

2 Education and Training June 2008: spent 2 weeks at the University of Veterinary Medicine of Glasgow, under the supervision of Prof. Ian Ramsey, BVSc Phd DSAM FHEA MRVCS DipECVIM CA. From January 2009: works at the Department of Animal Pathology of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Grugliasco (Torino), as a PhD student. She conducts research mainly in the field of coagulation and Leishmaniasis. From 21 th of March to 29 th of April 2011: spent 1 month and half at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), under the supervision of Dr. Xavier Roura (DVM, Phd, ECVIM CA).

3 Working experience December 2005 February 2007: practiced at the Veterinary Clinic Monviso in Pinerolo (Torino). In that period I worked at the emergency care unit and I was particularly involved in internal medicine, cardiology and diagnostic imaging. January 2006 September 2007: worked at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Turin as assistant scientific secretary of the post graduate Small Animal Cardiology Master Course. From June 2006: worked part time at the critical care unit of the Department of Animal Pathology of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Grugliasco (Torino). From February 2007 to January 2009: involved in both the rotations for nights and holidays for the emergency service and the postoperative management of dogs and cats at a private clinic in Trofarello (To). From May 2007 to December 2008: worked at the C.A.T. (Therapeutic Reception Centre) of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Grugliasco (TO). From December 2008 to January 2009: worked full time at the critical care unit of the Department of Animal Pathology of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Grugliasco (Torino). From January 2009: works at the Department of Animal Pathology of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Grugliasco (Torino), as a PhD student.
