2 Learning with Animal Ambassadors Let your students experience Learning as they never have Before. In a way they will never Forget! MaxMan Reptile Rescue recognizes the need for a better knowledge of biology, ecology, conservation and more. Our educational programs are hands-on investigations of reptiles and amphibians and how they relate to the world in which they live. With over 10,000 species of Reptiles and Amphibians in the world and more discovered every day, these animals live in almost every region on Earth and are extremely successful. Along with this incredible amount of diversity comes a bewildering world of biological wonders just waiting to be discovered by young, inquisitive minds. MaxMan Reptiles can reveal that world to your students. We teach students about themselves and the world around them using fascinating animals that will hold their attention and keep them interested in learning. The educational programs that MaxMan will provide for your students are tightly linked to your class curriculum. Our presentations introduce and reinforce the concepts that students are learning in class. We use a multidisciplinary approach to review the concepts outlined in the curriculum. The dynamic and captivating reptiles and amphibians we bring into your classroom will increase your students interest in learning; thereby, increasing the richness of their educational experience.

13 Commonly Asked Questions Why choose a Reptile Show from MaxMan? Choosing a funtastic Reptile Show is a great learning experience for guests of ALL ages. Not only do they get to meet animals from around the world but they also get to learn in a unique setting. Whether comparing a turtle to a tortoise, petting an Iguana or watching classmates cuddle up to giant python, there is an experience for everyone! Are MaxMan Reptile Shows safe? Absolutely. Diana is a trained professional, working with reptiles and the public for more than 15 years. As well, the MaxMan staff are trained volunteers and the reptiles are well accustomed to being handled. As a member of the Upstate Herpetological Association, MaxMan is completely covered and insured! Safety is our number one concern for our guests as well as for the animals. Please remember our reptile shows are organized, supervised programs that are professional in ALL aspects including performance, animal interactions, and patron satisfaction!
14 Commonly Asked Questions The number one question - Do the animals BITE? Any animal has the ability to bite, and we explain why reptiles are likely to bite. Most importantly, we discuss how to safely interact with the animals so as to avoid the possibility of defensive bites. We are also extremely attentive to the body language of the animals and we respond respectively to the animals to provide the safest interactions possible. Why is hand cleaner required when handling the animals? We always explain to the audience that hygiene is extremely important and that washing is important after handling any animal. Additionally, animals from one region may have beneficial natural bacteria that could be detrimental to an animal from a different region. To prevent any cross contamination, it is important to wash hands between animal interactions. Are MaxMan Reptile Shows available year round? Yes! Winter programs require that our staff has close parking and immediate access to a door to reduce the reptiles exposure to the inclement Central New York climate.
15 Commonly Asked Questions What is the difference between a small audience and a large audience show? A small audience show is designed for small groups and individual classes ~ offering a more intimate experience with hands-on interaction with the reptiles. (meant for 30 students max). A large audience show is a hands-off show for large groups, in gymnasiums or auditoriums. There is no limit to how many students can attend. If you want a hands-on experience with one of our large snakes or lizards, there is an option to include an interaction for an extra fee. Extra Time must be scheduled for this as well. Do you bring your own audiovisual system? Yes! We can provide our own sound system and video projector, or we can utilize your system, whichever is easiest for your venue. We must have an electrical outlet nearby. Which cities will you visit? MaxMan Reptile Rescue is located in Jordan, NY. We are happy to serve the Syracuse and surrounding suburban areas. However, for school districts interested in our programs for their entire district/ student body, we are happy to travel to surrounding counties. Please check with us for availability.
