1 Animals of Maryland By Mrs. Lee s Kindergarten Class March 2013

2 Our class made an informational book about animals that live in Maryland. In science, we studied mealworms and learned about how the external features help the animal survive. External means outside. We wanted to learn how animals in Maryland survive. Here s what we did to make our book: We picked an animal that lives in Maryland. We used PebbleGo Animals to learn about the animal. We wrote facts about the animal on our graphic organizer. We used the facts to write sentences about the animal. We used Pixie to draw our animals. With help from some of the fifth grade students, we typed our sentences. Mrs. Grosso and Mrs. Farrell helped us with our research, our drawing and with the typing. We hope you enjoy our book!
