2 Cloverbud Rabbit Record Book This record book will help you to keep track of what you will learn this year. To participate in the Dutchess County Fair in August, you must complete this book! To begin, you should look through this book to find out what you will have to do. Then, work on it throughout the year. By August, you will find that you have nearly completed your record book. If you have any questions about anything in this book, you should ask your parents or your 4-H Leader for help. They will be willing to help you. Have fun this year in 4-H while learning about your rabbit! 2

4 MY RABBIT My rabbit s name is. My rabbit is a (Breed of rabbit). My rabbit is (Color or variety of rabbit). My rabbit is a buck/doe (Circle one). Its birthday is. I bought my rabbit from (Name of breeder) on (Date you bought your rabbit). I chose my rabbit because (What do you like about your rabbit?). My rabbit weighs pounds. The correct weight for my rabbit is pounds (This can be found in the ARBA standard). I feed my rabbit (Type of pellet food you give your rabbit). Each day, I feed my rabbit (Amount of food you give your rabbit each day). I also give my rabbit (Treats, feed supplements, and/or hay you give your rabbit). When I feed my rabbit, I use for feed (type of croc or dish you use). For water, I use (type of croc or dish you use). 4
5 MY RABBIT S CAGE My rabbit s cage is inches long and inches wide. I chose to put the cage (Where is the cage located?). The type of bedding that I use in the cage is. 8 SHOW RECORD On this page, fill in the information about a rabbit show where you showed your rabbit or attended to watch the show. 9 RABBIT SHOW TREASURE HUNT This can be completed at any rabbit show you attend this year, or at the fair. What is the name of the show? What town is the show held in? What state is the show held in? How many rabbits do you think are at the show? What is the biggest breed of rabbit you saw today? How much do you think it weighs (take a guess)? What is the smallest breed of rabbit you saw today? How much do you think it weighs (take a guess)? Variety is another word for the of the rabbit. Did you see any rabbits that can be used to make wool? Yes/No What was the most interesting breed you saw today that you would like to learn more about? Why was that breed interesting to you? Watch the judging of one class of rabbits, how many rabbits were in that class? What title is given to the rabbit that is chosen as the best in its breed? What title is given to the rabbit that is chosen as the best rabbit at the show? 9
10 GETTING READY FOR FAIR! The class that my rabbit is entered in at the fair is. My entry form for the fair was turned in on (Date your entry was sent). My other tasks to complete before the fair are. (What do you need to complete before the fair? Ex. Practice showmanship, clip toenails, finish projects, make a poster etc.). 10
