2 About the venue. RH1 5JN The venue is off Honeycrock Lane. After passing under the rail bridge it is the first turning on the right. Perrywood Sports and social club is sign posted at the end of the drive. Follow the drive to the end and the sport club is on your right. There is direct access onto the venue from Salfords train station. The venue has a club house and bar that is open from 6pm on Friday and from 9am til 11pm Saturday and 9am til 6pm on Sunday. Toilets available in the club house during opening hours and very basic showers and toilet in the outside changing rooms open 24 hours during the show weekend. Food: The club cook food all day Saturday and until 3pm Sunday. They provide breakfast, lunch specials and evening meal on Saturday night, all reasonably priced and can do special requests if you are fussy!!! Bar is open from 11am til 11pm. Camping: Camping is available from noon on Friday however you may arrive from Thursday night if you are prepared to help set up the rings. Please Kate if you are able to help. Thursday night camping free if helping. Welcome to Jumping Jacks Agility Association. Jumping Jacks was created to take the stress out of agility, our small friendly shows provide a platform to get you started. Fully netted arenas, lower jump heights, a fair points system to promote dogs through the grades and special veteran classes and leagues for the oldies that refuse to retire. ALL DOGS COMPETING MUST BE OVER 18 MONTHS OF AGE AND HAVE HAD SOME SORT OF FORMAL TRAINING. Jumping Jacks Shows provide 5 different jump heights with choice option for borderline dogs. Veteran heights to suit you oldies Height to weight ratio, so maxi dogs weighing over 25kg will jump medium. Minimum spacing of 15 ft or 4.5 metres between obstacles Up contacts are NOT marked. Dogs may stay in their grade for the duration of the year if desired. NO Tyres or flat tunnels are ever used in a course.

3 Introductory Classes: you may carry a silent toy around the course, DO NOT throw the toy at the end of the run. Refusals are NOT marked in Intro except in the weaves. Contacts marked as normal. Veteran: For Dogs 7 Years and Over. You may choose which height is best suited to your veteran this must be at least 1 height lower than their original measured height. Veteran courses are flowing with no weaves and no seesaw. Dog walk and A frame set at lower heights to ensure your oldies are safe. If novice classes have less than 10 dogs entered then they will be combined with Graduate and Masters to become Novice plus Graduate and Masters will be combined in 2018 to make Graduate plus. Training in the ring: Although we prefer not to allow training in the ring we understand that some corrections can only be made during a test. We will be allowing some training in the ring this year, if you choose to train during your run then please be aware that you will only have your 60 second course time and if this is delaying classes in the morning then we will not be allowing training in the afternoon classes. This is to ensure the day runs smooth and everyone gets their runs before midnight!!! NO FOOD ALLOWED IN THE RINGS AT ANYTIME EVEN IF ONLY DOING A TRAINING ROUND. Initial entry levels for dogs are: KC GRADE 1 = INTRODUCTORY KC GRADE 2 = PRIMARY KC GRADE 3 = PRIMARY OR NOVICE KC GRADE 4 = NOVICE KC GRADE 5 = NOVICE OR GRADUATE KC GRADE 6 = GRADUATE KC GRADE 7 = MASTERS All new dogs may enter at Introductory level. Once you have entered into a level, progression is only at JJ shows.

4 Jump Heights : Please be aware that JJ jump heights are lower than many other agility shows. Our belief is that lower jump heights promote healthier joints through a dogs life. We believe that no dog should jump higher than the top of its own shoulders. Measuring will take place in the show office before classes start. A dog only requires one good measure for lifetime height. If a dog s measure is borderline then you will have a choice of height. If entering for the first time, put which height you think your dog will be and we will measure and alter the height at the show if not correct. MAXI For dogs measuring over 21 (53.4cm ) MEDIUM For dogs Measuring Over 17 (43.3cm) and under 20 (50.8cm) MINI For dogs measuring over 14 (35.6cm) and under 16 (40.7cm) TINY For dogs measuring Under 14 (35.6cm) Jumps are set at 11.5 (29.21cm) MICRO For Dogs measuring under 13 (33cm) Jumps are set at 9 (23cm)Dogs Measuring between 14 & 13 may choose to jump Tiny or Micro. Dogs weighing over 25kg are entitled to jump 1 height lower than measured. JJ NUMBERS : On first entering a JJ show your dog will be allocated a unique JJ number, please keep a copy of this for future entries. This number ensures your dog is entered at the correct height and level for the year and your points tally for the leagues are maintained. Top performing dogs at the end of the season (2 nd September) will be promoted to next level. For full details on points, promotions and rules please refer to full JJ RULES on our website. ONLINE RUNNING ORDERS -All running orders will be available online from our website. If you do not have access to the internet then please enclose an SAE. Running orders can be collected at the show if unable to print at home but please inform show secretary if this is required 5 days prior to the show. Any faults or issues with the running orders must be dealt with prior to the show so please contact the show organiser at least 5 days before the show.

5 LEAGUES All dogs are automatically entered into a dog of the year league according to height and level. Points throughout the year count towards the dog of the year awards. Over 60s leagues, veterans unders and overs and juniors can be entered via the entry forms. All other leagues please enter using separate form from website or available from the show office. Jump n Touch classes will consist of a short jumping course, all dogs clear in the jumping may then continue to do the contact equipment. Dogs not clear in jumping will be eliminated. Helter skelter classes consists of jumps and possibly tunnels in a circular turning course. Graduate plus classes are for dogs that are eligible for graduate or masters. Triple A agility will be an agility course that requires you to do the A Frame 3 times during the course. Steeplechase is a course consisting of only jumps and is usually a fast flowing course. Pay on the day if time permits.
