Catalogues: Free TO ALL ENTRANTS Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to: THE BELGIAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF IRELAND Dear Exhibitor, We are pleased to announce the BSD Club weekend for Saturday & Sunday 29/30th September at the Forest Farm, in Athy, Co.Kildare..We have planned for a Club Specialty Show along with Agility Competition and Character/Temperament testing and Sheep Herding instinct tests. We are delighted to welcome Breed Specialist Judge Emanuele Boriero from Italy, who will officiate for our Club Show. Each exhibit will also receive a written critique on their dog. Enter our Club Show online at MEET OUR JUDGE Emanuele Boriero (Italy) Emanuele Boriero was born with a strong passion for dogs. From early on his childhood he was always interested in pedigree dogs and in the dog show business. He works for a multinational chemical company and lives close to Milano in the countryside where his dogs can run, play and grow which is the right place for them. Breeder with the prefix "La Rosa Tatuata" of Groenendael and Tervueren, Emanuele lives with Belgians from 1984 when he bought his first Tervueren. With less than one litter per year, He has produced and/or owned several "sujet reccomandee" in France, and Italian and foreign Champions along with BISS Champions, including one Reproductrice d Elite in France. He was also one of the founding members of Kennel Kyaring Thso Shih Tzu where he was very active showing, breeding several Multi Champions, including European, World Junior and International BISS and BIS Champions. Emanuele Boriero is an FCI/ENCI Judge for Belgian Shepherds Afghan Hounds, Saluki and Shih Tzu. He has had the pleasure to Judge in a lot of different Countries: Italy, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, CZ Republic, Germany, Norway, Danmark, Portugal, Spain. Including the Belgians Sherperds Nationale d'elevage in France and various Specialties shows. Eddie Brophy RULES AND REGULATIONS 1 The Show will be held under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club Limited. 2. The Show will be held at The Forest Farm Centre, Athy, Co. Kildare on Saturday 29th September Judging will commence at 11am approx 3. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late for its class. No persons will be allowed into the judging ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an Exhibitor taking a dog in for adjudication. The exhibit number of each dog must be clearly displayed by its handler. 4. In the event of any appointed Judge failing to keep his/her appointment, the Committee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges. 5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the proposed order of judging if this should become necessary. 6. Entry Fees: Euro 22.00/Stg for the first dog entered. Euro /Stg for each additional dog entered. Postal Entries will be received up to and including Friday 7th September, Online entries will be accepted at until midnight on Friday 14th September 2018.The Committee reserve the right to reject any entry, advert or other insertion in the Catalogue. 7. Inelligible Entries. A transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex or breed is allowed if reported to the Secretary s Office prior to commencement of judging. A dog entered in a class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the Open Class in that breed, but in no other respects. 8. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this show must be registered at the Irish Kennel Club Limited, Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Harold s Cross, Dublin A Judge will be empowered to withhold any prizes of Green Stars if, in his or her opinion, the exhibits are not of sufficient merit. 10. The Catalogue will be available on the day of the show free to exhibitors. Car Park FREE 11. The Catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the Committee cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes, which may bring exhibitors within the purview of the IKC Ltd., Rule 15, Section 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation. 12. The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the Show. 13. The Promoting Body shall be the Show Committee and all disputes shall be dealt with by the Show Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal to the IKC Ltd. 14. Exhibitors must clean up after their dogs. Suitable facilities will be provided for this purpose. Any Exhibitor found not cleaning up after their dog will be liable to a Euro fine. IMPORTANT NOTICE Irish Kennel Club Rule Section 1 Rule Registration Every dog exhibited or competing at any Show, Field Trial or Obedience Test, must be registered with the Irish Kennel Club Ltd., in the name of the exhibitor or competitor, save in the case of greyhounds, duly registered with the Irish Coursing Club, and dogs not of a recognized breed for which licences have been approved for obedience, agility or working tests. Failure to comply with the above will result in (a) the dog being disqualified from the event AND (b) the exhibitor being fined One Hundred Pounds (Euro 127), the implementation of which shall be a normal office routine. All appeals to the IKC Ltd. Should carry a fee of 5.00 refundable if the appeal is upheld.

6 CLASS DEFINITIONS (the word dog denotes both sexes) In the following definitions any award which counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any Governing body recognised by the Irish Kennel Club will be regarded as the equivalent of a Green Star. Similarly, the title of Champion is continued as if it were attained under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club. A Baby Puppy Class is for dogs of four months and under 6 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Puppy Class is for dogs of 6 months and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Junior Class is for dogs of 9 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the Show c o m p u t e d f r o m a n d i n c l u s i v e o f t h e d a t e o f i t s b i r t h. An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 calendar months on the day of the showcomputed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. An Open Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth. A Champion Class is for dogs who have gained the Title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club rules or under a recognized Kennel Authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries**** A Veteran Class is for dogs over 8 years of age on the day of the Show, computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth Breeders Class A minimum of 3 dogs and maximum five (dogs or bitches) of the same variety, bred by the same person/persons. Note: All UK registered dogs entered must be registered or transferred at the Irish Kennel Club in the name of the exhibitor. Dogs competing from other FCI countries need not register their dogs with the Irish Kennel Club **Dogs may be entered in one breed class only ** NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Responsible Ownership All exhibitors shall be responsible for keeping their dogs under control at all times. Dogs in Cars Exhibitors are asked to bear in mind that dogs can suffer intolerable distress, with sometimes fatal results, due to thoughtlessness on the parts of owners in this respect. If left in cars all dogs should be closely monitored, have water available at all times, and be allowed to leave the vehicle at regular intervals. We all love our dogs. Let s ensure that they enjoy the show also!! Accident or Damage The Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by exhibits, exhibitors or other persons attending the show through accident or otherwise.
