2 Dear Beefmaster Breeders, The summer is quickly coming to an end, and for most it has been a mild, wet excellent year! I hope this Catalog letter finds you enjoying the cattle business, and in need of herd improvements. We decided at the last minute to go ahead with plans for this sale, once Mother Nature gave us her blessing with some excellent rainfall throughout the central states, the south east, and most of Texas. As you know The Southern Revolution sale is designed to provide an outlet for those breeders who all share a common breeding philosophy, a place to come together and market their cattle. Though each breeder featured in this sale have very individual programs, they all share a common desire to raise quality Beefmaster cattle that function in the real world, with the most performance data available, all by cow families they have developed and proven. These Breeders have done all the work for you, spending years proving their cattle, so you the educated buyer can purchase their cattle with total confidence. The sale hosts range from 40 years to 4 years in the business, but all share the common desire to sell the best Beefmaster cattle they can raise. We have chosen to host this year s sale at the Louisiana State fairgrounds, located in Shreveport, because it is very central to the consignors, and progressive cattlemen from around the country. We will be hosting the sale online with Advanced Video Auctions to provide you instant access to the sale offering right in your home. Shreveport serves as a hub from which we can send cattle throughout the entire South and central part of the country with minimum transportation costs. In addition to its central location, Shreveport also offers up a wide variety of entertainment, that the whole family can enjoy. Be sure to visit one of the many restaurants featured at the board walk down on the river. The ladies can enjoy endless shopping also conveniently located on the board walk, and don t miss the Bass Pro Shop. Of course everyone knows about the Casinos, so if you re feeling lucky, stay an extra night, and take it all in. Most of all we want you to come see the fruits of our labor, an excellent set of quality Beefmaster cattle! The Sale offering is diverse, with cattle to represent every breeding philosophy, and every category. Cattlemen today are interested in acquiring cattle to provide them the most for their dollar. This year s sale is comprised of bred heifers, pairs, 3 in 1s, heavy bred cows, and one totally proven black herdsire. 4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. BIDDING: Each lot on which there are two or more bids will be sold to the highest bidder. 2. BIDDING DISPUTES: The auctioneer in charge will settle any dispute as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final. 3. TERMS: The terms are cash to be paid the day of the sale. Cattle will not be released until full payment is made unless prior written arrangements are made with sales management. 4. HANDLING: Each lot will be at purchaser s risk as soon as sold but will not be delivered until settlement is made. 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog. 6. LIABILITY: All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. The owners and the sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents which may occur. 7. HEALTH: All cattle will be accompanied by an Interstate health paper. Foreign buyers will be responsible for health papers, all costs or any other expense involved in getting cattle to their final destination. 8. REGISTRATION PAPERS: Registration certificates on each animal will be delivered directly to the breed association office after buyer s checks have cleared the bank. Buyer will receive his certificates directly from the breed association office. 9. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction. Neither Channarock Farms, Kreger Beefmasters, Gator Farms, Bull Creek Cattle Co., HJ Cattle Co., Interstate Cattle Services, Inc., nor any other person connected with the sale assumes any liability, legal or otherwise. 10.
