THERE WILL BE AN EMT ON THE GROUNDS NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. BaRay Events will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.

BECAUSE OF LIMITED GROOMING SPACE, THERE WILL BE NO ROPING OFF OF GROOMING AREA. THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REARRANGE SET-UPS TO MAXIMIZE AVAILABLE SPACE. USE OF RAMPS At the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: *Boykin Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, **Basset Hounds, *Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, **Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, and Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. *Boykin Spaniels and Whippets may be examined on the ground, on a table or on a ramp. **Basset Hounds and Bulldogs are expected to be judged on the ramp during breed judging. For the judging of Juniors, the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp breeds. This list may be revised from time to time, and the current list can be found on the AKC website in Judging Operations. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.) 4 ATTENTION SHOW GROUND RULES ALL EVENTS JUNE 8-9, 2013 Gray water cannot be dumped or dripped on the ground. The appropriate sewer hookup or dump station should be used for depositing all gray (and black) water. Security will enforce the no dumping rule. There is a $ fine for all/any infractions of this policy. An EMT will be on Show Grounds Each Day THE GROUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SET-UP OF GROOMING EQUIPMENT FROM 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on the day prior to the Shows. CONTROL OF THE GROOMING AND CRATING AREAS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GROUNDS CHAIRMAN. No roping off or saving of grooming areas. Show Committee reserves the right to rearrange crates etc., in the non-reserved grooming area in order to make more room. Grooming equipment left in day grooming area after Best in Show will be confiscated. Grooming and Crating area aisles must remain open at all times. No Grooming or exercise pens, Cocker pens, Toy pens or canopies are allowed in the Show Building. Crates are only allowed in the show building during showing of your breed and must be removed immediately after. Violators will be fined $25.00 per occurrence. Grounds will be open at 6:00 AM and close two (2) hours after Best in Show each day. All buildings must be vacated two hours after Best in Show on Sunday. There will be no parking on the Fairgrounds. Violators will be towed at the owners risk and expense. Loss or Damage - The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor/Parent. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the shows OR THE EXHIBITOR/ PARENT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SHOW PREMISES. The only fresh water available on the grounds will be in the restrooms. Exhibitors are responsible for the water required for the safety and comfort of their dogs. No bathing of dogs on the show grounds. Exhibitors and Handlers will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their grooming area, parking area and hotel room. Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. X-pens will be provided outside. Exhibitors and handlers must pick up fecal matter deposited by their dogs on the grounds, streets, sidewalks and parking lots. Speed limit within the Fairgrounds is 5MPH. Anyone exceeding this speed limit will be subject to an Event Show Hearing, and/or escorted off the grounds immediately. If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked vehicle on the show grounds or in the parking areas, the club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. Animals left in vehicles will be monitored by County Control Officers and Club Members. If animals are in distress due to heat or any other circumstances, the vehicle will be forcibly entered, the animal recovered and the owner cited. ALL ELECTRICAL DEVICES WHICH CREATE MULTIPLE OUTLETS MUST BE UL APPROVED AND INCORPORATE A SEPARATE CIRCUIT BREAKER WITHIN THE DEVICE. All electrical cords on floor must be taped. No Smoking will be allowed or tolerated in any building on the Show Site. Offenders of the rule shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $50.00, and in the event of continued abuse, shall be asked to leave the show premises. TROPHIES - Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging rings to the person exhibiting the dog, who will be considered to be the owner or agent of the owner. All claims for trophies and other prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of the judging of the breed, and the Show Chairmen advised at once in the event of any discrepancy. No Award will be mailed. BEST PUPPY COMPETITION SATURDAY ONLY Best Puppy will be awarded from the First Place winners in the Regular Puppy Classes ONLY immediately following each breed. If the Best of Breed is awarded to a dog/bitch coming from one of the Puppy Classes for that breed, the Best Puppy win is automatic. Best Puppy Group will be judged following the Variety Group that included that breed. First through Fourth Place in each Group will be awarded, with the Group Winner going on to Best Puppy in Show. If the dog/bitch judged First in their respective regular group was also the Best Puppy for their breed, first place in the Puppy Group is automatic, and judging will be for second through fourth places only. The number before each Breed (Variety) indicates the number of dogs entered in that Breed (Variety). The numbers following each Breed (Variety) indicate the number of Regular Class Dogs, Regular Class Bitches, Non-Regular Class Dogs or Bitches, and Best of Breed (Variety) (Dogs/Bitches). Exit. Turn left under the freeway. Fairgrounds are on the left. FROM SEATTLE AND THE NORTH: Take I-5 South to the Puyallup Exit #142B in Federal Way. As exiting, stay in the left lane. Turn right at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Hwy Travel approximately eight miles into the Puyallup Valley (Hwy. 161 becomes Meridian St. in Puyallup). Continue south through town. The Fairgrounds will be on your right at 9th Ave. S.W. FROM BELLEVUE AND EASTSIDE: Take I-90 to I-405 South. Take Exit 2 to Hwy. 167 toward Kent/Auburn. Travel South on Hwy. 167 for approximately 20.2 miles to Hwy. 161 South/Hwy. 512 W. Travel 2.3 miles to the second exit, Meridian St. S. At the light at the end of the exit turn right. Fairgrounds are on the left. FROM SEATAC AIRPORT: Option 1: Depart airport, taking exit to I-5 and I-405. Follow signs to I-405 Northbound toward ReÔnton and Bellevue. Take Exit 2, Hwy. 167 South toward Kent/Auburn. Travel south on Hwy. 167 for 20.2 miles to 161 South/512 West. Follow Hwy. 512 West to Puyallup and Olympia, traveling 2.3 miles. Take the second exit, Meridian Street South. Turn right at the light at the end of the exit. The fairgrounds are on the left, on the corner of Ninth and Meridian (Cattin s Restaurant is on the corner). Option 2: Take I-5 south to the Puyallup Exit #142B in Federal Way. As exiting, stay in the left lane. Turn right at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Hwy 161.
