2 All dogs six months of age or older from the following breeds are eligible to participate in Spaniel Hunting Tests: SAFETY Per the Regulations for AKC Hunting Tests for Spaniels and Guidelines for Spaniel Hunting Tests Ch 3, Section 2, an item of blaze orange clothing above the waist must be worn by all handlers. Blaze orange is also required for all observers in the field. For safety please consider more than just a Hat! AKC PUBLICATIONS All AKC Hunt Tests are run according to published regulations. Dog Collars Hunting Test Regulations Ch 4 Sect 4 states Choke collars, Spike, Pinch, or Prong collars, and Electric or Dummy collars shall not be worn by a dog on the grounds of a Hunting Test.
