3 COMMITTEE MESSAGE A warm welcome to all exhibitors- old and new, from near and far! The Club has had a sad sort of year with the passing of Pat Brenneke, committee member and wife of our President Doug. Pat passed away in May following some months of ill health. Doug requested a Memorial Show, and has generously provided some amazing trophies for Sunday's Show. Doug and Pat's son has made 2 lovely cutting boards, so we have decided to award one each to the most successful Cocker Spaniel (American) and Tibetan Spaniel over the three shows. Cocker Spaniels (American) and Tibetan Spaniels were Pat's favourite breeds Fellow Committee member Wendy Lewis has also been quite unwell this year, and we hope she will spend some time with us this weekend. With help in the sum of $100 from Doug, the Club donated $600 to 200Bales, who have been supplying hay and other necessary items to Farmers in the Mid Western Council region. Don't be fooled by the green looking paddocks! We are still in need of much rain. To this end we are holding the Irish Brace Sweepstakes on Sunday morning, a fun event...enter on the day for a gold coin donation. There is a first prize of $30 donated by Fudeta Hounds. Pink Up Kandos Rylstone is underway- we hope you are all wearing something pink! There will be collection boxes coming round, so lets show Rylstone and Kandos how generous the dog community can be! You will notice signs round the showground saying No Dogs with the exception of authorised dog events- unfortunately this is due to people not cleaning up after their dogs (not show people!). We have always left the grounds in perfect condition, hopefully this year too. We welcome Belinda from the Wolfsden, Cafe Sassy from Mudgee for your coffee, Therese Hay with her yummy goodies, and our new catering people, Joanne Bartlett and crew from Golden Oldies Animal Rescue. We are also hoping to have scones, jam and cream from Rylstone CWA. DON'T FORGET...CLOCKS GO FORWARD ON SATURDAY NIGHT!! Have a great weekend!
