1 TWO COUPLE PACK CHAMPIONSHIP, FIELD CHAMPION BENCH SHOW & FIELD CHAMPION ONLY FIELD TRIAL DSBGF TWO COUPLE PACK CAHMPIONSHIP We kicked off the weekend on Friday morning taking entries for the Two Couple Pack Championship and fellowshipping over a great breakfast at the club house. When the entries closed, we had 30 Two Couple Packs ready to complete in an AKC Licensed Trial and for the title of DSBFG Two Couple Pack Champion. We split the packs into two groups and utilized both pens for the running of the first series. When the scores were in the judges brought back three packs from each group to compete for AKC Placement and the title of DSBGF Two Couple Pack Champion. At the end of the day, Mr. James Hough came out on top with his pack, Hough s Flatlands # 1, of outstand hounds. 3 FIRST ANNUAL FIELD CHAMPION BENCH SHOW As the Two Couple Pack Trial came to a close, we prepared the club house for an evening of fun. On Friday evening we held the First Annual Field Champion Bench Show. The DSBGF summonsed two very qualified hounds men, Mr. Rodney Hellums and Mr. Whimp Aaron, to judge the show. 6 To conclude Friday night s activities we had a great meal prepared by The Childers Family and Danny Wayneright. Some of us nearly exploded while indulging in the tasty southern/cajun cuisine these fine cooks put together. Following supper we started our live auction. As usual the auction was a blast! Some of the bidders refused to be outdone which resulted in an awesome fund raiser for the Deep South. Thanks to all that donated items to the auction.

7 Saturday was the big day for the Field Champions to take to the field and exhibit there abilities amongst the toughest competition in the country. An elite group of 80 Field Champions came out to compete for the title of The Best of the Best in the Deep South. During the day a couple of nice gifts were awarded to beaglers through raffles that had been going on during the year. Anthony Wiley took home a Garmin Trash Breaker Training Collar donated by Mr. JE Childers and Tommy Boudreaux took a pile of cash back to Louisiana from the 50/50 cash drawing. After a long day of battling with the best, here s how it shook out.
