THANK YOU ALL! Ways & Means featured a BEST IN SHOW BASKET contest, which was a huge hit! Rings Steward Kathryn Martel Knight was the judge and the winner was Diana Latronica. Congratulations to club member Julie Babcock and CH Babby s Center Stage (Shelly Jo) on winning Best of Breed under Breeder Judge Mike Otten! We are looking forward to next year's shows, which will also include hosting the Bulldog Club of America Division III 2014 Specialty on Thursday October 9th, our two Specialty shows on Friday, and All Breed shows will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Black Mountain Kennel Club has once again extended an invitation to our club. The fabulous Riviera Hotel will once again be the location, and plans are already underway for organizing next year s shows. 2

4 October was a fun filled month, including LVBC's yearly "Bull-OOOH-Ween" picnic and costume contest held at the beautiful Floyd Lamb State park. Thank you to everyone who attended! It was a fun filled day, great food and good times meeting new Bulldog owners. The dogs in costume were fabulous! Congratulations to David Neldberg and Mickie on winning BEST COSTUME!!! 6 November s Chips n' Dips" microchipping/grooming education seminar was held at "The Doggie District" dog resort. The homemade "Bulldog Salsa" made by club member Kelly Korb was a huge hit and the dogs who were microchipped were good sports! New Member Johnna Denney and her new Bulldogs! 7 We have been invited by "Mugsy & Moxie's Bully Couture" to an event to raise public awareness about The Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network, which will take place on December 8th, 1:00 to 4:00, at Tivoli Village in Summerlin. Dog owners will be able to dine with their dogs in The Wine Bar & Kitchen. The BCARN (Bulldog Club of America Resscue Network, Inc.) kissing booth will be there, along with Bulldog Club of America education booth. Kissable Bulldog volunteers needed! You will also be able to DINE WITH your DOGS at View Wine Bar & Kitchen! 420 S. Rampart #150 Las Vegas, NV

8 Our annual December Holiday visit to the Veteran's home in Boulder City will take place on December 21 st at 10:30 AM. Those wishing to attend will need to have a completed Vet exam & Vaccination form in order to participate. (see following page). All dogs must be leashed at all times. Each year, members bring gifts to the patients: small items (toiletries, handmade items, no food or sharp objects). The address is 100 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV. OUR VISIT

10 Club members also are looking forward to our upcoming Christmas party and "Secret Santa Paws" gift exchange, on December 22 nd from 1:00 to 4:00 at Smarty Paws Canine Coaching center N. Rancho Blvd., Las Vegas, NV This will be a Pot Luck luncheon; LVBC will be providing a main course. Sides & Desserts welcome! Each member wishing to participate in the gift exchange traditionally brings a gift of $20.00 value. If any member may be interested in serving in a position on the board of LVBC for the upcoming year, please contact our Acting Secretary, Bea Montgomery, for more information. Nominations for additional candidates may be made from the floor during our meeting at the Christmas party. ***Our "Annual Meeting" will take place in January. 10
