FROM I-90: Exit onto Route 47 South to Route 38 West approximately 20 miles to the Convocation Center entrance. See Map. ACCOMMODATIONS Hotel information is provided as a courtesy to exhibitors. Check with individual hotels for current policy regarding the acceptance of pets. Please be respectful of hotel property and other guests. There should be NO grooming or bathing of dogs at the hotel. Dogs should not be left unattended in the rooms. Guests are expected to pick up after their dogs and be responsible for the immediate removal of all dog waste. Hotels are advised to report any problems to the Kennel Club of Yorkville, Illinois. Damage to the hotel or its grounds; disturbances or violation of hotel rules will result in a bench show hearing. Hotel policies may change toward dogs, please verify current policies when making reservations. DOES NOT rent the Parking lot from the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center and receives NO REVENUES from the fees collected at the ticket booth for parking. All the fees collected at the ticket booth are for parking only and the rates are regulated by the University/ Convocation Center. If you are going to be on the grounds of the Convocation Center you must pay to park. The fee you are charged is calculated by the number of spaces you will use. If you fill a parking space with ex-pens or grooming equipment you will be charged for that space. Parking Fee: $5.00 per space per day, Payable Each Day. Exhibitor parking passes are required for event days. No parking fee is required to unload on Friday, April 5, The loading and unloading area will be supervised. Please follow directions. While in the loading area, unattended vehicles will be required to leave on lights and flashers. GENERAL INFORMATION/RULES Site will be available Friday, April 5, The Building will be open to Vendors ONLY at 2:00 P.M. Exhibitors may enter the building at 4:00 P.M. (NO EXCEPTIONS). The Building will be locked at 10:00 P.M. on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, The Building will reopen at 6:30 A.M. each day. All dogs and equipment must be removed from the show site following Best in Show on Sunday, April 7, DOGS MAY BE LEFT IN THE BUILDING OVERNIGHT, BUT MUST BE CRATED. A local contact or cell phone number must be left with dogs crated overnight. BUILDING IS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE TO MAIN FLOOR & GROOMING AREA. The management/superintendent/club or its members will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog on site or for possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of an accident or any other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care, custody and control of its owner, agent or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show grounds. Show Superintendent and the employees of the Club and/or the Superintendent, will not be liable for any loss or injury which may be sustained through loss, theft, injury and/ or death of dogs entered at these events, whether said loss, theft, injury and/or death is or are caused by the negligence or carelessness of the said Kennel Club, their members, directors, officers, agents, Superintendent or by negligence of any person or by any other cause. All grooming is indoors. Limited electric is available in several areas. Please share outlets. Grooming in designated areas only. Grooming areas will be monitored and supervised. The club reserves the right to restrict or consolidate grooming space. Crates and equipment must be stacked. No rugs or mats on the floor. Private exercise pens are NOT allowed in building. No ex-pens used as crates. This includes puppy/cocker/ drop pens. Ample OUTSIDE exercise area is available and MUST be kept clean. Those individuals not picking up after their dogs will be subject to discipline. No saving of grooming or parking spaces. Tape, cords, rope and cones will be removed and become the property of the Kennel Club. In accordance with building regulations: NO materials may be taped, stapled, nailed, tacked etc. to the floors, walls, ceiling or posts. Limited crate space may be available on level of the main show rings. There is no electric available on the show floor and no dryers are allowed. Each exhibitor is responsible for keeping their grooming area clean. Please bring a broom and keep the grooming area free of debris. Aisles must be kept clear. Exhibitors are reminded to honor "NO DOG" areas. Dogs are not allowed in the Convocation Center lobby, on the passenger elevator or on tiled floor areas. Dogs are allowed in the freight elevator. This is a handicapped accessible facility with elevator access. No dogs are permitted on this elevator. The FREIGHT ELEVATOR is available during hours posted by the University. Staircases are available all day. Unentered dogs are not allowed on the show grounds. Dogs in attendance solely for the health clinics should stay in the clinic area and leave the building following their scheduled appointment. All dogs must be on a leash except while in obedience competition or when on the table, crated, or in an exercise pen. Dogs left on the table or in an ex-pen MUST be properly supervised. No Flexi leads allowed in the building. No Double Handling. Please turn off cell phones and pagers in the ring area. No cell phones allowed in the rings. NO SMOKING at any time in the building. No strollers permitted. Children must be under the direct control and supervision of an adult guardian. Flyers, brochures or other advertising materials may not be placed or distributed without the permission of the show giving club. No solicitation. Permission to videotape must be requested of and granted by the Show Chairperson & Building Superintendent. Food Vendor on site. NO OUTSIDE FOOD WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. ADMISSION FOR SPECTATORS IS FREE. The Kennel Club of Yorkville, Illinois hopes our exhibitors will join us in extending hospitality to our spectators and guests. In an effort to foster the sport of purebred dogs we encourage everyone to conduct themselves in a friendly and courteous manner. Parking $5.00 per space per day - University Collects Fees. "Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way (for example: left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) will be removed to safety. Exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way is considered mistreatment.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES Seperated by Sex VETERANCLASS - For Dogs & Bitches 7 yrs. & Older *Chapter 11, Section 8 Rules Applying to Dog Shows provide that a neutered male or spayed bitch may be entered as a veteran. Winners of the above classes are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed Competition. FIELD TRIALCLASS - For Dogs & Bitches with a placement 1st - 4th at an AKC Field Trial. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION BEST PUPPY - BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR AWARD OF MERIT At the conclusion of Best of Breed judging, after picking Best of Breed, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, the judge at his discretion may choose up to 10% of the Best of Breed entry for an Award of Merit. The award shall be a Rosette. SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS... BEST PUPPY-During the course of Regular judging, the assigned judge will select a Best Puppy from the Class winners of the 6 mos. and under 9 mos. and the 9 mos. and under 12 mos. Classes. This will be done after the Best of Breed & Award of Merit Competition judging unless the Best Puppy award is automatic. Example: An entry from the Puppy Classes is awarded Best of Winners or Best of Breed. Only dogs and bitches undefeated in a Puppy Class are eligible for Best Puppy Competition. If the first place winner is not present, the second place winner may not compete. BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR-During the course of regular judging, the assigned judge will select a Bred-by- Exhibitor in each Breed from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class winners. This will be done after the Best of Breed Competition unless the Best Bred-By-Exhibitor award is automatic. Example: An entry from the Bred-By- Exhibitor class is awarded Best of Winners or Best of Breed. Only dogs and bitches undefeated in a Bred-By- Exhibitor class are eligible for the Best Bred-By-Exhibitor Competition. If the first place winner is not present, the second place winner may not compete. NON REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog & Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. Stud Dog Class-For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the Regular or Non-Regular Classes or if a Champion of Record, for Best of Breed Competition or may be entered for Stud Dog Class only at the regular entry fee. The Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog unit shall be considered as one entry and requires only one entry fee. The Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his Get. Stud Dog to be judged, based on the merits of the Get. Neutered Stud Dogs are eligible for entry in this class. Brood Bitch Class-Same as Stud Dog Class except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. Spayed Brood Bitches are eligible for entry in this class. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION NOVICE CLASS OPEN JUNIOR CLASS MASTER CLASS NOTE: AKC Junior Handler Numbers are required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Entry for Sweepstakes shall be made at the same time and on the same entry form for the Regular Classes of this show indicating in the space for Additional Classes your entry in the Sweepstakes and age division. VERSATILITY TEST FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2019 Following Best of Breed There is No Entry Fee for this Test The primary objective of the Irish Setter Club of America, Inc (ISCA) Versatility Program is to demonstrate the Irish Setter s hunting ability, reasonable obedience to the handler s commands and to determine whether the overall breeding adheres to the Irish Setter Standard. Dog shows give the breeder an opportunity to demonstrate the progress made in breeding type and quality as outlined in the Standard. Companion events demonstrate the usefulness of the purebred dog as a companion to mankind. Field events are a demonstration of a sporting dog s ability to hunt in his natural environment, proving his natural instincts. For the purposes of this document the following definitions apply: Conformation Breed Standard Companion Events Obedience, Agility, Rally and Tracking Field Events / Field Trials and Hunting Tests ELIGIBILITY OF DOGS 1. Any AKC registered, ILP or PAL Irish Setter who has reached the age of six (6) months on the first advertised day of the test(s) may compete for any or all tests offered. 2.
