All classes open to Jack Russell Terriers only, unless otherwise noted. Colored and other terriers have specific classes where noted. 2. Jack Russell entries must be over 10 up to 15 height standard (with the exception of pups that have not yet met the 10 height standard); measuring devices will be available on the trial grounds. Height cards will be honored. Sizes: over 10 up to 12 ½, over 12 ½ up to Puppies (under 12 months of age) are not eligible for championships in any division but their own. 4. Un-sportsman-like conduct will not be tolerated. Anyone demonstrating such behavior will be asked to leave the trial sight and no entry fees will be refunded. 5. No puppies for sale at the trial site. 6. Chairman reserves the right to combine classes in the event of low entries. 7. THE JUDGE S DECISIONS ARE FINAL IN ALL DIVISIONS. GO-TO-GROUND and SUPER EARTH 1. Schooling prior to the competition is not permitted. Any violation of this rule shall result in disqualification of the schooling dog from go-to-ground competition at this trial. No entry fees will be refunded. 2. A line approximately two feet from the entrance hole will be designated as the starting line. Time starts when the dog is released. The dog is to be released so that all four of the dog s feet are on the ground before crossing the starting line. Any violation of this rule, accidental or intentional, shall result in disqualification of the dog from the class in which the violation occurs. No entry fees will be refunded. The electronic timer will be used when available; time will start when beam is crossed. 3. After the dog is released, the handler shall remain next to the entrance hole. Commands and encouragement may be given throughout the trial. Exhibitor to wait until the judge calls you back to get your dog. 4. Terriers that passed in the open division at this trial may not move on to the championship class at this trial; EXCEPT PUPPIES. 5. GTG Championship is open to any terrier that holds a GTG Certificate or Title from any recognized organization, or a terrier that has been successfully hunted to American quarry and holds a working certificate. A copy is to be submitted with entries, or shown to Den Steward. RACING 1. All terriers including puppies must be muzzled. Basket muzzles are suggested. No figure eight or open muzzles will be allowed. Please no bright colored muzzles. 2. Any dog entering the catch area without a secured muzzle will be disqualified. 3. Exhibitors must have dogs ready to race, be aware of their classes, and be ready when called. In the event a heat is missed permission to run in a later heat, if room, is granted at the discretion of the racing staff. No refunds for missed classes. 4. Once entries are loaded into the starting gate, all handlers must proceed to the finish line and be ready to receive their dog. 5. In a hurdle race, any entry going around the jumps must be disqualified. 6. If a brush or lure is caught, the race will be rerun at the discretion of the judge. 7. Entries must cross the finish line completely to place in a race; the finish line is the back side of the barrier. First to the hole is not necessarily first through the hole. 8. Racing champions are determined by a run-off of the first place winners in each class in each division. 9. Dogs must race in flats and hurdles to advance to the championship race. 10. Dogs called for fighting, shall be disqualified from further racing at the discretion of the judge, for that class or for the day. 11. NO CROSS ENTERING IN ANY CLASSES 12. I have kept all breeds of terrier from Jack Russells to Patterdales and Lakelands, I keep 9 terriers at the moment. I no longer live at the kennels now, but did for 12 years. I have judged the Welsh game fair, Weston Park game fair, NWTF champion of champs (Barry Wades show) and many other shows. I also judged MOE trial at Purina May I have also been featured in the book 'Digging the Dirt' by Jonny Bluck.
