Please consider the date of publication of this newsletter to be May 15, 2014 Submitting expenses to BCOA Treasurer: Per BCOA Ballot , published in January 2005 Bulletin Board: BCOA members incurring expenses covering BCOA budgeted items during the fiscal year shall submit invoices to the Treasurer on or before March 1st of the next year to be eligible for reimbursement. Expenditures incurred by members that are not covered by the Budget shall require Board approval. These bills shall be submitted to the Treasurer on or before February 1 st of the next year. Committee Chairs shall be responsible for notifying committee members to submit receipts for expenses within this time frame. The link to the reimbursement form is on the Members page on Basenji.org. 4 Unsung Hero Nominations for 2014 With this year s National Specialty in September (22-27), the deadline for Unsung Hero submissions will be August 11, The Unsung Hero Award recognizes that BCOA member who has made a positive contribution that would not ordinarily be acknowledges by other types of formal awards. Nominees for this award will have displayed extraordinary efforts to advance the purposes of the BCOA; consistently and unselfishly sharing his/her time and expense to promote events, activities and materials in support of the BCOA. Submitters must provide the BCOA Board with the full name of the nominee and a statement of 250 words describing why this person should be considered for the award. Nominations should be sent to Janet Ketz, BCOA Secretary by US mail West River Road, Wilmington, IL or electronic mail- jlketz@aol.com. The winner of the Unsung Hero Award will be announced at the 2014 BCOA Annual Meeting in Gray Summit MO. The complete Policy can be viewed at in the member s only Documents, Policy Manual.
