Using a scale of points, each dog is evaluated according to how closely it conforms to the Breed Standard. The event is educational and promotes discussions of the standard and provides spectators with an opportunity to see how individual views can produce a consensus decision which can then be compared to their own impressions. This event provides special recognition to those Shibas with the most outstanding records as well as their breeders, trainers, and owners. PARADES OF TITLEHOLDERS & VETERANS PARADE OF RESCUE Friday, October 19, 2007 from 6 7:00 PM Held just prior to the First Annual NSCCA Top 20 Invitational, these non-competitive parades will be held to honor the title accomplishments of our Shibas as well as Veteran Champions. Then a parade of Shibas who have been rescued will recognize their stories and honor their placement with new families that have found their Shiba companion through a rescue program. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: Per Chapter 1 Section 16 of the Obedience Regulations as stated in the premium list for these trials, move-ups are not accepted at these trials. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is presented to the superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. SUBSTITUTIONS: A Junior is limited to one substitution per show. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. The Junior must have the AKC number of the substitute dog. All substitutions must be made at least one half hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship Classes at the show. Refer to Junior Showmanship Regulations for complete information.
