2 Rhino Month Become part of the struggle against rhino poaching by joining us for fun filled Rhino activities. These activities will help you to understand the plight of these majestic animals. The program is from: 22 September 31 October 2012 Activities include: Catch a Rhino Poacher Go undercover as a Game Ranger and follow the trail of the Rhino poacher. Get your clue card, and collect the clues which will lead you to the poacher. Date: Every Weekend Time: 10:00-15:00 Where: Around the Zoo Keeper Talks-Rhinos Hear interesting and fascinating stories about Rhinos. Find out what makes these animals so vulnerable to humans and their impact on the eco-system. Date: Every Weekend Time: 10:00-10:30 Where: White Rhino Enclosure Save the Rhino Message Board Add your voice to the struggle against rhino poaching. 4 Holiday Programme Let the Zoo fill your holiday with fun and entertainment. If you enjoy animals, being outdoors and getting dirty then this program is for you. The program is from the 1 October - 05 October 2012 Programme for under 7 s Enjoy a ferry tour and get to see some of your favourite animals. The tour-guide will keep you entertained with fun stories about animals which will keep you amused. Refreshments are included. Cost: R70.00 per person Children must be accompanied by an adult Programme for under 7-13 year old Be prepared to have fun and get dirty. Each day is different: get up close and personal with some of our zoo animals, enjoy fun activities, play games and much more. 5 Howl oween Howl oween Join us for a frightful evening when the Zoo becomes haunted with witches, goblins, vampires and wizards. The event will be divided into 5 areas: Walk into the eerie Vampire Cave which is set in the dark with strange lights, scary sounds and creepy crawlies waiting to crawl onto your skin. Take a trip to the Devil Snake Pit if you dare, and meet some scaly friends. The Haunted House belongs to Sangomas practicing African Magic, but before you meet them they request you eat something not meant for humans. Meet some slithering snakes in the Reptile house. At fairyland you will get to meet some pretty fairies, a dancing Hippo and a Giraffe. Date: 27 October 12 Time: 17:00 Prizes will be awarded to the most scariest costume

6 Fun Runs Ground Hornbill Conservation Run/Walk Show your support toward Ground Hornbill conservation by participating in the Ground Hornbill Conservation Walk/Run All proceeds go towards protecting and caring for these majestic birds. Zoo Trot Zoo Trot is a great way to enjoy an active outdoor activity. Suitable for all ages, this 5 or 10Km fun run or walk takes you through the zoo s tranquil settings. 7 Family Day at the Zoo & Tours Family Days at the Zoo Family Days at the Zoo are ideal for corporate team building, family get-togethers and group activity.
