2 BENGAL TIGER Scientific Name: Panthera Tigris The Bengal tiger, or Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris or Panthera tigris bengalensis), is a subspecies of tiger primarily found in Bangladesh, India, and also Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and southern Tibet.[1] It is the second largest and the most common tiger subspecies, living in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforests, scrub forests, wet and dry deciduous forests, and mangroves. It is the national animal of India and Bangladesh.

3 Size: 18 feet Weight: Up to 3,000 pounds Lifespan: 25 years Habitat: Dense forest to open plains Diet: Herbivorous/ browsers Gestation: Between 14 and 16 months Predators: Humans Eating-An average of hours per day are spent feeding and up to 140 lbs. Cool Facts -A giraffe's heart weighs an incredible 24 pounds. -A giraffe can go longer without water than a camel -A full grown giraffe's neck can weigh as much as 500 pounds -In one minute, the heart of a giraffe can pump 160 gallons of blood -An adult giraffe's kick is so powerful that it can decapitate a lion. Giraffe Scientific name: Giraffa camelopardalis The giraffe has adapted a long neck for eating trees and long legs so they can be a watch full eye for other animals. 4 Physical Characteristics: Gorillas are about 1.7 m in body length and weigh about 374 lb. Adult females are about 1.5 m in body length and weigh about 158 lb. Gorillas have big stomachs which are larger than their chest due to their enlarged intestines, which digest the bulky fibrous vegetation they consume. Their large foreheads are used to protect their eyes. Also, they have short fur. But the color of it usually depends on were the animals originated. Fun Fact: Did you know that gorillas share about 99% DNA with humans. Mountain Gorillas Scientific Name: Gorilla Gorilla Gorillas live in the Subtropics in Africa Activity Level: Gorillas walk miles in days and they spend time caring on their young and making their beds Did You Know... That the Population of the lowland eastern gorillas have suffered tremendously over the past decade. Their numbers have fallen sharply, from 17,000 gorillas in 1994 to only 5, 000 in Feeding habits: Gorillas Spend 14 hrs eating daily. They eat fruits and vegetables and sometimes berries.

When the lion hunts it will often get real close to its prey before attacking it. Then it takes a big leap and grabs the prey. In a single jump, a lion can leap 35 feet through. Their hearing is so sharp, they can hear prey that is more than a mile away! How about this? The lions eyes are the largest of any carnivorous animal. Like other cats, the eyes of a lion are especially made for seeing at night. To help lions creep up on their prey, they have rubbery pads on the bottoms of their feet. The pads soften the sound of each step, sort of like sneakers. Lions are able to turn their ears from side to side to catch sounds coming from almost any angle.

7 Malayan Sun Bear Scientific name: Helarctos malayanus Pictures of the Malayan Sun Bear Habitat: Makes it home in low land tropical and rain forest area of Southeastern Asia. Physical description: Sun bears are the smallest of all the bears. The male weigh between pounds. Female species are 20% less than the males. Their lengths are ~3.5' and have shoulder heights of 2'. Their coloration includes whitish or orange chest mark & muzzle. Range: Tropical/ subtropical forest. Southeastern portion of Asia (Borneo, Burma, Kampuchea, Laos, Malay Peninsula, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, South China possibly, Sumatra, &Vietnam. The skin of the bear is covered with a black coat made of sleek, short hair. It has a white or yellowish patch on its chest shaped like half moon and a muzzle that is yellowed and shorter than that of the black bear.

8 Komodo Dragon The Komodo Dragon is a Fierce predator It is a pure meat eater and cold blooded. The Komodo Dragon Is the Bigest Lizard on Land. Did You Know That The Komodo Dragon has so much bacteria in its mouth if it bites you will die from it.

9 Matschie s Tree Kangaroos (Dendrolagus Habitat Huon Peninsula of Papua New Guinea, as well as on the nearby island of Umboi./ Australia. Matschiei) Did you Know? That Matschie s tree kangaroos can jump 30 to 60 ft from the ground to a tree without hurting themselves. They sleep 60 % of the day. Babies are called Joey. Conservation Status Appearance Brown fur, pointed nose, has a pouch, stomach is yellow, brown eyes, long nails. Social Behavior It is very alone. There only territory is the trees. They are very lazy. (they sleep 60% of the day).

10 Blood Python At maturity a Blood Python weighs 30 pounds and is 5 to 7 feet. Python Curtus Brangersmai This animal feeds on Rats, mice, baby rabbits, and other mammals. This animal lives on the continent of South East Asia. Most Blood Pythons eat a variety of small mammals but there are a few picky ones that only eat birds. Blood Pythons are short but powerfully built. Blood Pythons lay about 5-15 eggs.

11 Ecosystem Small- clawed otters live in freshwater wetlands, mangrove swamps, and on land. ASIAN SMALL- CLAWED OTTER Habitat Small- Clawed otters mostly live in mangrove forest, some freshwater wetlands and on land. Description The otters are relatively long (about 24 in.) and they are brown with a white patch on their neck and bellies. Social Interaction Asian small- clawed otters live in loose family groups of about 12 animals. It forms something along the lines of a pack. Above is a map of where these otters are mostly found.

12 Clouded Leopard Neofelis Nebulosa Appearance The Clouded Leopard is a medium sized cat, 2 ft to 3 ft long and weighing between 33 to 50 lb. It has a tan or tawny coat, and is distinctively marked with large, irregularly-shaped, dark edged ellipses which are said to be shaped like clouds, hence both its common and scientific name. Social Behavior The Clouded Leopard is a solitary creature in other words it is not really social with other animals. Did You Know... Clouded Leopards can t purr like small cats, nor roar like big cats? Instead they make a noise that is similar to a roar but is not a roar. Habitat And Range The Clouded Leopard ranges through southern China, Eastern Himalayas, Northeast India, and Southeast Asia. The preferred habitat is tropical and subtropical forests at altitudes up to about 6,500 ft. It lives in temperatures from 65 to 120 degrees.

13 SLOTH BEAR Melursus ursinus DID YOU KNOW! In India and Burma, sloth bears are more feared than tigers, due to their more unpredictable temperament, said to be the most aggressive and least predictable of Asian bears. The body is cm long, covered in long, shaggy fur, ranging from aubum to black, with a distinctive "V"-shaped white mark on the chest, a whitish snout and black nose. The snout is long with bare lips and a lack of upper incisors, adaptations for its insectsbased diet. The front feet are turned inwards and have non-retractable, curved ivory claws that are adapted for digging.
