4 Please read terms and conditions, rules and regulations carefully Penning begins at 7:00am and birds must be penned by 8:30am. Your birds maybe penned the evening before between 5:00-6:00 pm (please contact us before hand if you. Judging will commence at 9:00am on Sunday 19th June. The award ceremony will begin at the end of auction. The auction will begin at 1:00pm sharp and again no birds will be removed until after the auction unless prior arrangements have been made. Sign in and collect your pen number(s) when you arrive. Nominations for both show and auction close on Friday 3rd June Changes and additions will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances, please contact us immediately if you experience any difficulties. Bring only the birds nominated for exhibiting and/or auctioning. Juniors must attend and pen their birds. You must have an exhibitor number, if you do not have one we can help you get one; please ask us as soon as possible to get your number in time for the show. If we receive less than three birds in one class, we will remove the class and place the birds in the any other variety class. We will keep the class open if the birds are a combination of cocks, roosters, hens and pullets and will be judged against each other. If we receive more than three entries for birds in a AOV or AOC class we will create a new class. Entries in AOV and AOC categories must have description of breed sex and colour on entry form. Birds must be healthy, clean and parasite free; any birds found in sub-standard condition may be rejected, disqualified and sent home. The upmost care will be given to all entries but Lockyer Valley Feather Club will not accept responsibility for lost, stolen, injured or damage birds, before during or after the event. Once the show has begun and judging commences you may not open or remove any birds from their pens until instructed to do so by the chief steward at the end of the show. If you notice anything unusual or a bird in distress please let the steward or a club member know immediately. Junior exhibitors must be 16 years or under at the date of the show. Entries will not be accepted or processed without payment; if you have not paid please assume your entry has been unsuccessful. In the Pair Categories we will accept a mixed and same sexed pair (e.g cock & hen, 2 cocks or 2 hens). Eggs will be disposed of after the show unless otherwise requested. Please complete the entry form in full stating, breed, class no., sex, colour and size to ensure correct classing. If you are entering a bird with no specified colour option or an AOC (any other colour) variety please state the colour on the submission form. When entering eggs please just state, breed and class number. Entry fee s are $1 for members, $2 for non members, this applies to junior exhibitors as well. Children under 13 entering the decorated egg class - entry is $1 per plate. Children may submit more than one plate of decorated eggs.

5 This is a breeders choice auction and all birds must meet breed standards. Pen fees for the auction are $2 per pen and 10% commission of the final value of the lot. $2 pen fee is payable upon submission of auction entry form and is non refundable. No entries will be accepted without entry fee. The 10% commission will be deducted from the final sale price of each lot and the remaining money owed from the sale of the birds will be issued at the end of the auction when all birds have been paid for and collected. The birds being auctioned are the property of the owner and have the legal rights to sell them. Lockyer Valley Feather club accepts no liability for lost or stolen items including livestock. Please bring healthy, disease free and preferably wormed and treated birds only, any unhealthy, ill or wounded birds will not be allowed. Use correct terminology to ensure an accurate listing: pullet - female under 12 months, hen - female over 12 months, rooster - male over 12 months, cockerel - male under 12 months, chicken - unsexed bird. Use numbers when stating same sex lots i.e. 2 pullets. Breeding lots: Pair - male and female, trio - male and two females, quad - male and three females*. (We can only accept bantam quads only due to cage size restrictions). Pure bred birds only over 6 months of age will be accepted. Birds are to be penned from 7:00am and must be in before 8:30am. Please visit the front desk to sign in and collect your pen numbers. Please inform us of any changes or changes to reserve price at this time. Passed lots can be sold by private treaty sale at the end of the auction. Please sign in to the office immediately upon arrival and we can get your lots penned as soon as possible. Under no circumstances are any birds to be sold on showground property outside the auction setting while the auction is taking place, anyone found doing this will be removed immediately. We would love to have anyone enthusiastic about poultry join as members of our club. Membership is $10 per year; if you can t or don t want to join as a member but would like to help out we are always pleased to accept any help, please let us know when you are available and how you would like to help out. Camp sites are available for rent at the showgrounds from $15 per night; please contact Show society secretary, Dalray on for enquiries or to make a booking or visit the website.
