3 YCC OPEN SHOW AWARDS (Nominations ARE required for the following awards) Unflighted Competition Arthur Burton Trophy Awarded for the most points gained with three nominated birds in the UNFLIGHTED classes. The competition is open to both Novice and Champion exhibitors. Nominated birds can be in any unflighted class, excluding sales classes. Nominate * any THREE unflighted birds Green Marked Competition Fred Craven Trophy The competition is for the most points gained with three nominated birds in the OVER YEAR Green Marked classes. The competition is open to both Novice and Champion exhibitors. Nominate FC any THREE adult Green Variegated birds Best Evenly Marked Bird Wincup Trophy The competition is for the best evenly marked exhibit staged at the YCC Open Show. The exhibit may be green, cinnamon or white ground, and must have marks on matching technical points, i.e. two eyes marked, 2 wings, or both outer tail flights ONLY. Birds with markings other than those described above ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for this award, and will be disqualified if nominated. Nominate W any evenly marked exhibits Best Newcomer Edwin Henshall Salver The competition is for the best exhibit staged by a newcomer into the fancy, who has been keeping Yorkshire Canaries for three years or less. All birds entered are eligible to compete for the prize. Nominate EHS if you are under 3 years in the fancy 3

4 240 YCC POINTS COMPETITIONS (Free to enter Nominate YA, YB and YC, up to 3 birds per show) The YA, YC and YC points competition runs throughout the show season at all specialist Yorkshire Canary Club shows, and those CBS shows awarded full patronage by the YCC. YA competition YB competition YC competition The YA competition is for clear or ticked birds only. (Excluding whites and cinnamons.) The YB competition is for green variegated birds only. The YC competition is for cinnamon, white and allied colours and birds in the non-fed green classes only. Friday Birds staged between 4.30pm & 7.30pm Saturday Birds staged between 8.00am & 8.45am Judging will commence at 9.00am prompt Open to public from 1.00pm to 5.30pm Sunday Open to public from 9.00am to 12.00pm Awards ceremony 10.30am followed by lifting. 8 Important Information. Cage Drinkers. Tubular drinkers are supplied by the YCC for use at this Show. These will be placed on your show cage when checking in, and removed at the close of the show. No other drinkers are allowed on the cage at the time of judging. Seed. Plain canary or mixed canary seed is allowed both in the seed trough AND on the floor of the show cage. No other cage floor covering is allowed. Show admission. Saturday show admission after judging has been completed 5 including catalogue. Sunday AM free admission. Catalogue and award sheet excluding show admission: 3 YCC GIFT BIRDS This year our show and associated costs have risen dramatically. If anyone can help support the club by donating a bird which will be sold towards show funds, this will help enormously. Sales of birds open to all. BUYERS give their bids to YCC Sec. Keith Williams. Sec. will mark cages with the bid prices. (no names). Minimum starting bid is 50 per bird. Overbidding is allowed throughout Saturday.
