2 RULES FOR ALL CAGE BIRDS 1. All entries must be made on the attached entry form or entry form supplied by the Chief Steward, Geoff Stolberg. 2. ALL BIRDS TO BE BENCHED BY 7PM WEDNESDAY 16 th MAY (Chief Steward will be in attendance between the hours of 4 pm and 7pm on 16 May 2018) JUDGING will commence at 8.30am on Thursday morning PRIZE MONEY 1 st Place - $ nd Place - $ rd Place - Prize of $1.00 will be awarded if 5 or more birds entered 1. Prize money may be collected from the Chief Steward on the Saturday 19 th May 2018 of the Show up to 3pm. After this time apply to the Show Secretary for same. 2. In accordance with the rules of the Society, prizes not picked up by 26th May 2018 shall be deemed a donation to the Society. All entries to be staged in standard cages of the breeds. 2. Exhibitors must provide the water drinker for each entry. Drinkers may be clear or white plastic. 3. Exhibitor to provide enough food for each entry to last 24 hours. 4. Canaries - Plain canary seed only to be used in feed troughs. 5. A bird can be exhibited in one class only. 6. Class tickets to be glued on left hand side of the cage for all section entries, except for Budgerigars, where the sticker will be on the lower righthand side. 7. No exhibit to be removed from the Show before 2pm on Saturday 19 th Budgerigars to have suitable seed on cage floors. 9. Finches & Parrots to have suitable seed on cage floors/ or paper and seed on floor. 10. Birds showing signs of illness or signs of infestation of lice or mites will be removed from the bench at the Show Manager's discretion. CONDITIONS FOR CLASSES PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 1. Birds to be entered in their own clean cage. 2. The name of the bird and contact phone number on reverse of card, must be displayed on the cage. 3. Birds must be on display Thursday and Friday. Pets can be collected after 3pm Friday. 4. Please provide one (1) day supply of seed for your pet bird. 5. Locks on doors are permitted to protect your precious pet. 6. Entries are accepted entirely at owner s risk 7. ALL ENTRY FEES TO BE PAID BEFORE BIRDS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR BENCHING. CAGE BIRDS SECTION 3 1 GYMPIE DISTRICT SHOW 2018

3 CANARIES CANARY AWARDS: GRAND CHAMPION CANARY OF THE SHOW - $20.00 AND SASH CHAMPION CANARY OF EACH BREED - $10.00 AND SASH RESERVE CHAMPION OF EACH BREED - $ 5.00 AND SASH SPECIAL RULES FOR CANARIES: 1. All birds will be judged in accordance with the Individual Breeds Standards. 2. The decision of the Judge will be final. 3. All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor. 4. CAGES MUST BE PAINTED TO THE REQUIRED SPECIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RELEVANT STANDARDS. Norwich Cages pale blue interior, all other box cages have acrylic white. 5. Stickers to be placed on the lower left side of cage. 6. Birds showing signs of illness will be removed from the bench at the Show Manager s discretion. 7. All birds nominated must be paid for, before being accepted by Chief Steward. 8. The Society will take every care, but will not be responsible for theft of any kind from the show pavilion. 9. No birds will be removed from the benches without the approval of the Steward. 10. All classes of lightly or heavily variegated include Cinnamon and A.O.C. 11. The Steward will determine correct bird classification prior to the commencement of judging. 12. If less than two entries in a class, classes will be joined. 13. Any bird carrying VISIBLE OPALINE MARKINGS must be shown in applicable Opaline Class, other than Opaline Dominant and Recessive Pieds, which must only be shown in Dominant and Recessive Pied Classes. 4. Any bird carrying VISIBLE YELLOW FACE FACTOR must be shown in Classes 9025 to MULTIPLE FACTOR BIRDS exist in many combinations of colours, therefore if the colour schedule does not list certain colour combination then these colours all go in the A.O.C. and NON STANDARDISED COLOUR VARIETIES CLASS.
