Note from Leach Brothers Hello fellow pigeon fanciers and friends and welcome to our 2016 auction conducted by NPPA Has been a tough season for many people, ourselves included, but yet again our Gladiators of the sky have done us proud. In total racing to our own lofts we have won no fewer than 19 x 1st these include 8 x 1st Club, 5 x 1st Fed, 1st Waterloo 2 Bird Club, 1st Sect Coutances in the MNFC. In the various Breeder Buyer and Gold Ring competitions our birds struck gold on four separate occasions, three of which they actually won the race, gaining for us the following: 1st Todmorden Gold Ring and 1,000 this was with the first youngster bred from from one our new purchases Gold Rush (a joint venture with our good friend Brian Clennan of Whitby) a full brother to our top breeder The Syndicate Cock. Gold Rush was coupled to Dtr Nathalie to produce this super little hen that actually recorded the fastest velocity in the liberation from both the B/B & GR Race, a very prestigious race in our area with just shy of 11,000 paid out in 2016, you can well imagine the class of pigeon that is required when such large amounts of cash are up for grabs!!

2 Our next B/B races were all flown on the same day, the team did not let us down we had three separate competitions and a 100% strike rate, our first was flown with the Pennine Valleys Fed and was a clear winner topping the Fed by over 20ypm and scooping over 700 for 1st B/B. A full brother and a half-brother/sister are included in this sale. The sire to this YB is a very exciting new breeder for our stock team Zulu Warrior he is a direct son of Syndicate Lofts super star racing cock The Blue Baron a winner of many top prizes inc. 9 x 1st. The Blue Barron now resides in the lofts of Jan Hooymans alongside the world famous Harry. Our first two seasons breeding with Zulu Warrior have been very pleasing to say the least, a total of 7 youngsters have been raced from him, they have raced to three separate lofts, they were bred from two different dams, they have won to each of the three lofts inc. 2 x 1st Feds, 3 equal 1st Feds and 1 equal 1st Amal beaten by loftmates on each occasion. 1st Club, 9th Fed and a further 400 in a B/B for K & M Arkless. In the same race Howard Whitwam won 3rd B/B with a youngster bred by ourselves this being a G. Son of Blue Venom x The 51 Hen sire s side and The Macaloney Cock x Caprice on the dam s side. Total winnings this race approximately 1,000 1st Keighley & District Club B/B winning 660 with a G. Son of Alfie Boy x Abbie. 1st & 2nd Waterloo B/B also winning the race. Our winner is a direct son of Blue Venom x The 51 Hen. We gave this youngster away to our very good friends Charlie and Clive Roberts, not long after Clive s personal circumstances changed and he offered the youngster back, it was agreed that the yb be put into the Waterloo B/B and I would try to buy it back (nice move Clive LOL) no regrets! Blue Venom x The 51 Hen are proving to be a top pair for us, in the last two seasons they have bred 4 x 1st prizewinners and 4th Open in the MNFC from Vire in Our 2nd place B/B is also a G.son of our 51 Hen. Total winnings this race approximately 2,000. The thing that has pleased us most of all in 2016 are the fantastic results that our friends and customers have achieved with a little help from our family of pigeons, raced both pure and crossed in to their own established teams. (Stafford) 1st Club 461b, 1st Amal 2,801b G.dtr Magician / The 51 Hen. The answer was very much the same as it was last year. They said they would but on the condition they were able to breed the same quality pigeons as they did last year. Adrian called us in the summer and told us he had reared us a tremendous round of youngsters and would we go up and take a look. We went up in September and to be honest we think he has surpassed the quality of last year, we did not think that was possible as the class of the team last year was spectacular but pigeon for pigeon we really do think this team is truly exceptional.
