3 Accommodations Fairgrounds address is: 825 West 4 th North Saint Johns, Arizona RV Park On site with full hook ups. $25 a Night. For reservations call Welcome Inn and Suites. St. Johns Best Western Sunrise Inn. 128 N. Main. Eagar AZ. 30 min from show. For reservations call Food and refreshments will be available at the show. There are a couple of good restaurants near the fairgrounds as well. 3

4 BANQUET $15 for Adults, $9 Children under 12 years old Choice of Chicken or Beef. Please indicate on your entry PAIR RAFFLE $ for the best pair of birds donated for our silent raffle. YOUTH ACTIVITES Youth and Open Showmanship The Apache County Poultry Show will be hosting showmanship for Youth. Please sign up at the Youth Activities Table at the show Saturday Morning. We will have classes for Pre-Junior, Novice, Junior, Senior and Adults! Showmanship birds should not be entered for exhibition as they may be out of their cage for showmanship when their breed is judged. There are over $200 in Cash prizes donated for showmanship!! Youth Judging Contest There will be a judging contest for youth and all interested. There will be 2 classes of birds of the same age, sex, breed and variety on display. A licensed judge will judge the class and participants will see how close they come to what the actual placing is. A fun way to learn and test your skills. 4

5 GAME FOWL SHOW Game Show Rules 1. Game Show begins at 10:00 am. Entry Fee is $5 per bird, $7.50 for trios. $1.00 from each entry will go to Overall Champion of the Game Show and $.50 from each entry will go to the Reserve Overall Champion of the Game Show. $2 from each Trio will go to Champion Trio of Game Show and $1 from each trio will go to Reserve Champion Trio of Game Show if 5 or more trios are exhibited. 2. Optional Entry is $5 a bird and will be split 70/30 for Class and Reserve class champions. Optional Entry for trios is $5 a trio and will go to Champion Trio. All optional entries must be declared and clearly marked on master exhibitor sheet as well as coop card prior to judging. Once judging begins there will be no changes made. 3. Entries will be accepted as Cock (C), Hen (H), Stag (S), Pullet (P) Young Trio (YT) Old Trio (OT). Stags, pullets and young trios are under oneyear-old, cock s hens and Old Trios are over a year old. 5

6 4. Trios shall be the same breed, age and color and will consist of either one cock or stag and two hens or pullets depending on age. 5. Birds will be entered in the following classes: Dark Legged Red, (DLR) Light Legged Red (LLR), Dark legged Grey,(DLG),Light Legged Grey, (LLG) and Any Other Variety (AOV) 5. Exhibitors shall furnish their own drop pens. 6. Donations are accepted and appreciated. Please designate what class you want your donation to apply to. An example of a donation clearly designated would be for Champion Grey or Champion Trio or Champion Hen etc. Early entries are encouraged in the game fowl show but entries are accepted until judging begins on Saturday. 6

8 Show Rules 1. Entries must be postmarked or ed by Oct 22, Entry fee: $6 per bird, $6 Double Cooping and $16.50 for Trios 3. All entries should have numbered leg bands. 4. Any bird showing evidence of infectious/contagious diseases, or parasite, will be removed from the show and isolated. Entry fees will not be reimbursed. 5. Each exhibitor will feed and water their entries. 6. No person other than the show management and judges will be allow to handle the birds without permission of the owner. 7. Apache County Poultry Show, Four Corners Poultry Association and/or its representatives will not be held responsible for any lost items, stolen or injured birds. 8. Any bird entered in the Shows will not be reimbursed for entry fees if bird(s) is not brought to the show. 9. Judging for the shows will be done by the latest APA and ABA Standard of Perfection. 10. Please be sure that all birds are cooped in by 8:30 AM on the day of the show. Judging will start at 9:00 AM. 11. Pullet-female bird under 1 year old, Hen-female bird over 1 year old, Cockerel-male bird under 1 year old, and Cock-male bird over 1 year old. 12. A sale area will be available for those that have birds for sale. 8

11 Raffle & Silent Auction There will a raffle and Silent Auction of poultry and non-poultry related items. Items are donated and proceeds from it go towards the shows awards. Please bring your raffle items to help us put on the show! Sales Area There will be a Sales area available for exhibitors to sell birds and equipment. The cost is --$5.00 per cage or --$30.00 for a 10 X 10 space. Sale spaces can be reserved on your entry form or if space permitting on the day of show. The number of birds in a cage will be determined by the Show Staff. The Apache County show will not be responsible for any items sold in this area. Only birds entered in the show or in the sale area may be sold. No tailgate sales. 11
