An intergovernmental organisation created in 1924 to prevent the spread of animal diseases throughout the world Creation of the Office International des Epizooties (OIE) Headquarters in Paris (France) Creation of the United Nations 5 Regional Representations New preferred name: World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) 7 Sub-Regional Representations & Sub-Regional Offices 3
