5 Creation of Technical Working Group - Members from regional fisheries laboratories (I,II,III,IVA,V,VI,VII,VIII,IX,X,XI,XII) - Survey will cover the registered aquaculture farms, hatcheries, aquatic feedmills and aquaculture product distributors, and other stakeholders in the region with major aquaculture production.

7 Surveillance objectives 1. Establish baseline data on AMU and AMR in country important for cultured aquatic animal species o o o o o o o o Collate and review the survey studies conducted on AMUs, AMR and other related materials; Conduct gap analysis on the previous survey studies and other related works on AMU; Design a survey questionnaire for AMU in shrimp and tilapia and their significant bacterial diseases; Develop the survey methodology including the location, target group, timeline and method of collecting and analyzing data Preliminary implementation of the survey and submission of the result Finalization of survey questionnaire based on recommendation of FAO experts and national focal point Conduct of survey using the revised methodology Analysis of the data and preparation of report

9 3. Conduct risk analyses as relevant to aquatic animal in a One Health approach a. Availability in the market - CAP banned in food producing animal - not banned in human and non food animals

10 4. Identify appropriate interventions to control the emergence and spread of resistant bacteria including prudent use guidelines and evaluate their effectiveness. a. Prescription required for antibiotics b. Importation control-volume and distributon list c. Analysis by BAI d. Post market surveillance (DOH and BAI) e. Strict implementation of the guideline and monitoring
