Improvement of health condition and defence mechanism against bacterial, viral and environmental stresses. Stimulation of growth in young animals Improvement of milk, meat and egg production Prevention and treatment of vitamin K deficiency and in coccidiosis B Vitamins are always considered together as a complex of B Vitamins, because the deficiency mostly occurs for more than one B Vitamin at a time. B Vitamins are essential in the diet of poultry and livestock. As B Vitamins cannot be stored in the body, they should be supplemented daily by injection, through food or through drinking water. Vitamin B complex is responsible for energy production and protein metabolism in the body. Deficiency results in a wide range of symptoms variable with the species: Neurological problems, weakness, weight loss, skin lesions, gastrointestinal disturbances, reduced growth, and decreased egg production in poultry and finally poor resistance to infections. Vitamin K3 is essential for the synthesis of coagulation factors in the liver. Deficiency of vitamin K in feed or malabsorption due to parasitic diseases like coccidiosis leads to haemorrhage and death. Vitamin K supplement is therefore an essential part in the treatment of coccidiosis and when sulphonamides are used. Choline is an indispensable factor for building and maintaining cell structure. It is essential in fat metabolism and primordial for the formation of methionine and creatine. Deficiency leads to poor growth, fatty livers, perosis, haemorrhagic tissue, hypertension and mortality. Oral administration: Poultry: 1 litre per litres of drinking water. Cattle, horses: ml per animal Calves, foals, sheep & goats: 5-10 ml per animal The drinking water should be used within 24 hours. Prevention or treatment of: vitamin and oligo-element deficiencies in farm animals; stress (caused by vaccination, diseases, transport, high humidity, high temperatures, extreme temperature changes); improper feeding; claw and hoof problems; fertility problems; nerve problems and support of female animals during gestation and lactation. Contains all the important vitamins and oligo-elements. These are two important groups in all kinds of metabolic processes. Vitamin A plays an important role in the protection of the epithelial tissues (including skin and retina) and the mucous membranes, and therefore as a protection against general infections, skin-, nervous-, growth and fertility problems. The precursors (carotenoids) are found in plants Vitamin D3 supplementation is necessary to growing animals that are denied sunlight. The needs are higher during gestation, lactation, end growth. Vitamin E (= α-tocopherol) works as a line of defence against peroxidation of vital phospholipids like immunoglobulins and all membranes. Vitamin K3 was previously known as the coagulation vitamin. Essential for the formation of prothrombin. The B vitamins participate in the formation of enzymes and are indispensable for the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates and for the normal growth of muscular and nervous tissues Vitamin C is involved in a number of biochemical processes Calcium is essential for bone structure, blood clothing, muscle contraction, milk production and egg production. Potassium is essential in the transmission of nerve impulses to muscle, and as a cofactor in several enzyme systems. Iron is very important in many biochemical reactions in growing animals. It is present in enzymes responsible for electron transport, activation of oxygen, oxygen transport and general health. Copper is is important to prevent anemia, diarrhoea, bone disorders, reproductive failure, nerve disorders, cardiovascular disorders, achromotrichia, keratinisation failure, poor growth and reduced appetite. Manganese is essential for the development of the bone structure, for manganese-dependent enzymes, fertility and reproduction, lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, cell structure, immune function and brain function. Zinc is essential for enzymes, production of hormones, growth, skin, wound healing, immune response and maintaining of vitamin A concentration. 89 VMD-CLEAN 1. In an EMPTY STABLE to clean the system thoroughly Clean the pipes before administering medicines. Remove all animals from the stable. Add 1 to 2% VMD-CLEAN to the water and let the sedimentation in the pipes be affected during approximately 6 hours. Then flush the pipes thoroughly with clean water. Do not start with a strong dosage. Too much sedimentation could get off at the same time and may cause problems. Combination of 50% stabilised hydrogen peroxide and complexing agents. Application: VMD CLEAN prevents obstruction in the pipes of the drinking water and keeps the system free from bacteria and other infectious microorganisms. A good hygiene of the drinking water system is essential for the well being of the animals. Various elements however, pose a serious threat for the quality of the drinking water. Through heating of the stable, the drinking water becomes tepid and an ideal environment for bacteria to grow and duplicate has been created. The administration of medicines through the drinking water can cause sedimentation in the pipes of the system. 2. In a stable with ANIMALS PRESENT Permanent administration to DECONTAMINATE the drinking water. After each administration of medicinal therapy, clean the pipes with a low dosage of VMD-CLEAN. Concentration for 1000 l of drinking water: Broilers, ducks and rabbits: ml. Turkeys: ml. Layers: ml. Pigs: ml. Stop the administration of VMD-CLEAN 24 hours before vaccination. Only use VMD-CLEAN with TEFLON pumps. If this is not possible: prepare in advance a 1% solution to calculate the dosage. Never use VMD-CLEAN together with medicines in the system. Store in a well closed packing, protect from light in a ventilated area. Presentations: 10 litre containers. 89
