Animal welfare officer and abattoir welfare assessment focussing on the key requirements of the EU slaughter regulation. Particular emphasis given to religious slaughter.

WBVN members promote humane, scientific and practical approaches to dog population management. Disseminate information with the competent authorities and propose solutions.

18 RSPCA in Caucuses and Central Asia: --March RSPCA lead first TAIEX mission on animal welfare to Azerbaijan focusing mainly on EU legislation --Exploratory activities underway in Georgia and Azerbaijan in 2015 with a focus on dog population management.

21 Steering group (Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia) met 3 times during to develop working plan for the region RAWC has been formally endorsed by the CVOs in all of the represented countries CVI provides secretariat for 2 yrs, RSPCA and CVI funded 6-7 May 2015 Workshop in Croatia to disseminate the RAWC results and engage with the wider stakeholder body
