12 Duties of owners: COMPENSATION to take care on animals health and welfare, to carry out all necessary measures to protect them from other animals to protect spreading of animal diseases and zoonozes. In the case of suspicion of disease, to inform veterinarian or veterinary inspector and to notify any case, including abortus. to implement other measures in regards to animal identification, registration and movement control, to keep all records in regards to animal health. to implement specific activities related to early detection and some prescribed measures, specifically those envisaged in the Rulebook on Program of Animal Health Protection Measures and to help to veterinarians or inspectors to implement official, delegated or other activities.

13 Duties of owners: COMPENSATION In the case of suspicion of infectious disease, presence of clinical symptoms, a sudden death of an animals, appearance of two or more cases of disease with the same or similar symptoms, animal owner or keeper shall: report it immediately to a veterinarian or a veterinary inspector; prevent other persons from approaching the animal, herd, flock or body of the dead animal until the arrival of a veterinarian or a veterinary inspector; isolate the body of the suspected animal; retain any body of an animal suspected to have died of an infectious disease until otherwise instructed by a veterinarian or a veterinary inspector; provide information requested by a veterinarian or a veterinary inspector; enable sampling for testing purposes.

14 COMPENSATION Compensations rights of holders: Rights of animal holders to compensation of damages for: animals euthanized, slaughtered or dead due to implemented statutory measures or before outbreak/notification damaged or destroyed food, feed, equipment, facilities due to implemented statutory measures On the market price basis Committee for Assessment of Damages Decision on the right to compensation of damages and the compensation amount issued by the CVO within 30 daysof assessment

15 COMPENSATION Owner or holder is not eligible for compensation if: 1) do not have animal health certificate; 2) introduced animals into a herd without an animal health certificate; 3) animal is not identified and registered in accordance with the Law; 4) has not immediately notify the suspection of an infectious disease; 5) compulsory preventive vaccinations, diagnostic and other activities were not carried out in accordance with the Program of Measures; 6) failed to implemented prescribed measures (e.g. prohibition of movement of animals to spread of an animal disease); 7) the death of animal was not a consequence of an infectious disease; 8) the death or slaughter of the animal was not a consequence of measures that had been ordered by an official veterinarian; 9) the disease occurred during the import of animals, or during the implementation of prescribed procedures related to customs clearance (e.g., during post-entry quarantine).
