3 Editorial Preface The Executive Committee ( ) of Myanmar Veterinary Association was elected by 12 th Conference held on March 2013 at University of Veterinary Science, Nay Pyi Taw. The Executive Committee have formed the new Editorial Committee. The committee decided to published the proceedings annually at the time of annual meeting/ conference. This journal contains scientific papers submitted at 12 th conference (2013). Myanmar veterinary journal provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, research, and discoveries about veterinary medical education. This exchange benefits veterinary faculty, students, and the veterinary profession as a whole by preparing veterinarians to better perform their professional activities and to meet society s needs. The journal includes parasitology, infectious diseases of livestock, ruminant nutrition and surgery. These contributions are intended to provide a framework, a blue print by which academic veterinary medicine and the veterinary profession might respond to the changes occasioned by current, emerging, and re-emerging biological threats. We welcome and thank all contributors for their time, effort, and willingness to share their knowledge. We commend them for adhering to strict timelines and wish to acknowledge them formally here. Without their cooperation, the content could never have been presented in such a brief time span. February, 2014 Editorial Committee
