2 Brief histry: legislative steps at COM level COM statement in Regulatin (EU) N 438/2010 (29/5/2010) The Cmmissin has the intentin t prpse a revisin f Regulatin (EC) N 998/2003 in its entirety befre 30 June 2011, and, in particular, the aspects f delegated and implementing acts. COM adpted COM(2012)89 final n 5 March 2012: repeals and replaces Regulatin (EC) N 998/2003 f EP and Cuncil; aligns the pwers cnferred n COM under Regulatin (EC) N 998/2003 with Articles 290 and 291 TFEU; clarifies the regime that applies frm 1 January 2012, in particular as regards Articles 4(1), 6, 8 and 16 f Regulatin (EC) N 998/2003.
