Math Problem 2 Three rats made such a ruckus one night in Eric's bedroom that he killed them with his shotgun. Eric woke up in the morning to see the rats' bloated bodies ridden with disgusting maggots. Eric eagerly brought out his magnifying glass and counted the maggots. He counted a total of 5159 maggots. The brown rat had 1241 maggots. The black rat had 1825 more maggots than the brown rat. How many maggots did the white rat have?

When he reached home he found that quite a lot of peppermint sticks had ants swarming all over them. In fact the number of peppermint sticks with ants on them was 2986 more than the number he had eaten earlier.
