1 Deposit: Deposit to hold a puppy, in planning, in utero or once born is $400. The amount is non-refundable unless the following arises: 1) The dam does not produce a litter and the buyer does not want to wait until the next available litter. 2) The requested gender of puppy is not available and the buyer does not want to wait until the next litter. 3) During the health exam at the breeders veterinarian, a problem is reported and the buyer no longer wants the puppy, in which case the buyer can apply their deposit toward a different puppy, if available. If not available, a cash refund or credit toward the next litter will be offered. Under these circumstances, the buyer will receive their deposit back within a reasonable time following the announcement to buyer. No deposit can be refunded due to change of heart, medical issues, moving homes, new baby, divorce/marriage, etc. You can choose to refuse delivery of the puppy (up until the puppy leaves Gallant Farm for its new home) and instead apply the deposit later toward another puppy, from a future litter. Gallant Cotons reserves the right to cancel or refuse a sale at any time, for any reason. In this instance, all monies will be refunded in full within 7 days.

2 Pick up at Gallant Farm: Your new puppy will be ready to leave for its forever home at 8 weeks of age or older. Of course a shipping preparation charge will not be needed, as a shipping kennel will not be required for departure. We sometimes offer delivery of puppies, for a fee, within a reasonable distance (must be approved by Gallant Farm- fee varies). Microchip: Gallant Farm has provided your new puppy with a micro-chip for its future safety. There will be a mandatory $20 fee, in addition to the cost of the puppy, to register the puppy s information in national databases. This $20 covers a lifetime registration with your current information. If your information (address/phone etc) changes, you will be responsible for having it updated (at your own expense) for the safety of your dog. Registration of your puppy: At the time of pickup of your new puppy, you will be provided with copies of parental registrations for your viewing. All puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract. The buyer agrees to have the puppy spayed or neutered within 6 months of taking possession of the puppy. Any available registrations (AKC, UKC, etc) will be sent within 7 days when the puppy is spay/neutered, and documentation of proof is sent to Gallant Farm.

3 Travel Information: All puppy solo travel plans MUST be approved by Gallant Farms prior to leaving the farm. I can deliver puppies to the airport on certain, pre-approved days, usually Tuesdays. Puppies can normally leave for their new homes at 8 weeks of age, however, if plans include the puppy flying or driving without their new owner or another sibling, an additional 2 weeks of age (10 weeks) will be required before traveling to avoid subjecting the puppy to additional emotional trauma during their first fear stage. Valid identification will be required to pick up your puppy at the airport. To avoid confusion, call the airport ahead of time for directions to the cargo area where you will pick up your puppy. A $75 shipping charge will be added to the cost of all puppies that will be transported by air without their new owner. This will cover the cost of a brand new shipping kennel, detachable food and water dish, veterinarian paperwork as required by airlines, and any other required documentation. Health Inspection by Veterinarian: Your puppy has been vaccinated, de-wormed, and vet inspected for health. You will be presented with copies of the inspection performed by our veterinarian. Puppies are inspected for the following: eyes, ears, bite/teeth, nose, skin, joints, feet, heart, lungs, abdomen and a check for external parasites. Copy of health inspection can be provided at delivery of puppy, if requested. You will also receive copies of vaccinations (including brand names, lot numbers and exp dates), and de-wormings done, so that you may present to your veterinarian. We are anxious to have your vet meet your new puppy, and ask it be done within 48 hours of leaving Gallant Farm for your own peace of mind. Unable to be covered by seller (unless agreed upon before the sale), are common puppy ailments such as: parasites, hernias, undescended testicles, under or overbites (cleft palate would be covered), allergies, ear mites, coccidia, giardia, hypoglycemia and respiratory infection. Parvo and distemper cannot be covered after 48 hours from departure time from Gallant Farm. Further details provided in the Health Guarantee section as follows. Any condition declared before the sale is void from the health guarantee, and a discount given or agreement made regarding the condition.

4 Your new Coton de Tulear puppy purchased from Gallant Farm comes with a healthy puppy guarantee! Your Gallant Coton will be guaranteed to be in good health as described below when he or she is delivered to you. The puppy will be fully vet-checked, he or she will have exams for eyes, ears, bite/teeth, nose, skin, joints, feet, heart, lungs, abdomen and a check for external parasites, any findings will be declared before sale. Your puppy will be properly vaccinated, and will have been on a deworming program beginning at 4 weeks of age. We have cared for this puppy like it was one of our own (because he/she is!). Conditions of guarantee: Buyer must provide adequate care for the dog, feed a premium pet food such as NutriSource, and keep the dogs weight at a normal, healthy level. The buyer must provide vet exams, including heart worm checks and preventatives to keep the teeth clean (infections in the mouth can lead to Mitro Valve Disease). The buyer must keep dog vaccinated properly for Rabies. The buyer must spay or neuter their Gallant Coton within 6 months of taking possession of him/her unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. Failure to comply with this standard level of care will void all guarantees. Failure to spay/neuter by age 1 year, or a pregnancy, voids contract and terminates right to registration papers. The buyer will be responsible for all daily health care for their Gallant Coton, including immunizations, examinations recommended after purchase, as well as providing necessary medications and follow-up treatment from all veterinarian visits. The buyer is responsible for any and all expenses accumulated from the day they take possession of their puppy. Gallant Farm can not be responsible for any airborne viruses or other illnesses because they could have been contracted after the dog has left our facility (parvo, influenza, pneumonia, etc). If your Gallant Coton contracts any genetic disorder before the age of 12 months (heart, lungs, liver, cancer, hip/elbow dysplasia, eyes) the buyer will provide the seller with a letter from the attending veterinarian (DVM) on office letterhead which includes documentation of diagnosis, diagnostic test results, breed of dog, birthdate, microchip number, and signature of verification. This genetic disorder must be verified by a licensed veterinarian and documentation presented on or before the puppies first birthday. Dental issues are not covered. If the puppy develops a covered genetic condition or illness that occurred while at Gallant Farm during his first year, the buyer agrees to either assume full responsibility, or immediately return the puppy to Gallant Farm, at the buyers expense, so that the puppy can be cared for by our veterinarian, at our expense. If it's a major distance to Gallant Farm, consult with me. We will issue a refund check for the full price paid. Flight expense, microchip registration fees, shipping prep fees, veterinarian fees, etc will not be included in the refund. Our maximum obligation can only be the price paid for the puppy.

5 Should you choose to retain the puppy, and treat any medical illness found, the buyer agrees not to hold the seller financially liable for veterinary expenses above and beyond the purchase price of the puppy. Treatment can be expensive depending upon the region of the country, but cost of veterinary services reimbursed are based upon our vet prices in North Branch, MN and South Shores Forest Lake, MN. Gallant Farm cannot be responsible for time lost from work, hardship to family, loss of sleep, etc. Once the puppy has undergone surgery or corrective measures, submit a copy of the bill to Gallant Farm. Reimbursement will be paid up to, but not to exceed the actual cost of the puppy (listed on the front page of this document) to the buyer. The cost of food, over the counter medications and overnight kenneling cannot be reimbursed. Payment will be made to the buyer within a reasonable time once ALL required documentation is received. The buyer agrees to provide the seller with written documentation regarding the claim. This would be documentation from the attending veterinarian, including diagnosis, specific tests run, results of tests and suggesting return of the puppy to the breeder. Items not covered are not grounds for return of purchase price. Also included should be a copy of the guarantee and all items and documentation, including registrations. All can be sent to us at the address at the top of this guarantee. In the very sad event of the pets death within the first 7 days, the buyer agrees to have an autopsy completed. If the autopsy states specifically that the death was the result of a genetic illness or an illness which was contracted while in the care of Gallant Farm, the price of the puppy and the autopsy fee (not to exceed $200) will be refunded. Within 10 days of receipt of invoice, we will issue a refund check in the amount of the purchase price of the puppy, and the autopsy fee. Please remember that flight expense, microchip registration, shipping prep fees, vet fees, etc. will not be included in this refund. Only the purchase price of the puppy (the amount listed on top of this contract), and the actual autopsy fee (not to exceed $200) can be refunded. Of course, accidental death, or lack of proper care would not be covered in the guarantee and no reimbursement would be made. While we do our best to get you the puppy you want, Gallant Farms does not guarantee size, color, trainability, temperament, or any other things as controlled by nature. If at any time during your puppy s life you decide you can no longer keep your puppy, we ask that you return the dog to us, if feasible. We can help in re-homing when necessary. No monetary compensation can be given in re-homing situations, but finding a good home is always our top priority, or we will keep the dog ourselves. If, for any reason any litigation of this transaction occurs, they shall be held within the County of Chisago, in the State of Minnesota. Gallant Farm is entitled to any court or attorney fees incurred from litigation concerning this agreement or the aforementioned puppy. If any part of this guarantee should be in violation of a law, it will become null and void in it's entirety.

This guarantee is non-transferable should the buyer choose to re-home their Gallant Coton. This guarantee is valid for one year from the puppy s date of birth.

Buyer: By purchasing a puppy from Gallant Cotons, I am agreeing to the preceding contract whether or not the contract is signed by either party.
