3 Welcome to Devonbeesky Bulldogs A warm welcome, a few years ago, we brought our first Bulldog with a view to start showing. Studying about the breed, going to shows to observe, networking with likeminded people. Now 8 years on we are actively showing in the ring from local to championship level, including Crufts, with 2 Crufts qualifiers in We breed for showing purposes with focus on Health, Temperament and conformation. We are solely here to protect the Breed. We have whelped some gorgeous litters. 6 About your puppy The Kennel Club's registration system is akin to Somerset House for people - it is a simple record of a puppy's birth and provides several benefits supporting responsible dog ownership. There are many healthy benefits to dogs by registering with the Kennel Club. 7 Puppy 1 st Vet Check It is our the breeder(s) responsibility to vaccinated before our Puppy goes to his/her new forever home. All appropriate vaccinations for the puppy s age (8 weeks) have been given, a record of this vaccination is carried out by our vets (below) and detailed within your Puppy Pack, known as the Puppies 1 st Vet Check. Should it become necessary, the buyer(s) should be aware that the return of a Puppy can be very difficult, especially emotionally and, having drawn the attention of the Purchaser(s) to this, Devonbeesky Bulldogs, the Breeder cannot be held responsible for any distress caused by the return of the Puppy. If the Puppy is returned after acknowledging the defects you are not entitled to a refund in part or in full. 8 Endorsements Under Kennel Club regulations, there are two endorsements that have been placed on this puppy s record until they are 18 months old, by the registered owner Devonbeesky Bulldogs. No Breeding No Exporting Endorsements / Restrictions can and will only be lifted by Devonbeesky Bulldogs, if Devonbeesky Bulldogs have been provided (burden of proof) the Purchaser has complied to the following strict guidelines for removing; Removing Restrictions If you are considering purchasing one of Devonbeesky Bulldog puppies for breeding or showing purposes you must adhere to the following; Must be a Minimum of 18 months old Achieved a minimum Silver Breed Council Certificate HUU Tested Hold a Valid Council Breeders licence Registered with The Kennel Club... 9 Non-Refundable Deposits We the breeders state that the Non-refundable deposit is too secure/reserve a puppy, you the buyer acknowledges that the deposit is your way of saying I understand and I want to continue and I want to reserve a puppy. I the buyer agrees that the non-refundable deposit cannot be transferred or used for any other means. I the buyer accepts that the Non-refundable deposit will not be refunded. 10 The Buyer states; The Information herein to you the buyer, is provided in good faith and is intended to protect the breed, the buyer and the breeder(s). We now ask that you check that all the following information herein is correct. 1. I the buyer state in good faith believes that he/she will be able, and intends, to meet the Puppy s Future Health and Welfare Needs. 2. I the buyer state or any member of his/her household has been cautioned for or convicted of any breach of animal welfare law such as neglect, cruelty or abandonment. 3. I the buyer state shall not breach the terms of any Kennel Club endorsement. 4. I the buyer state in any event is no longer able or willing to provide a home for the Puppy or otherwise to meet the Puppy s Future Health and Welfare Needs he/she will contact the breeder(s) and have regard to any advice and recommendations that the breeder(s) provides, including return of the Puppy at the option of the breeder(s). 5. I the buyer confirm are purchasing the Puppy for himself/herself and not as agent for a third party. 6. I the buyer agree to take the Puppy to their vet, within 14 days of buying the puppy, for a general health check and advice on inoculations and worming. 7. I the buyer shall be entitled to recover from the Breeder(s) his/her reasonable veterinary fees and costs to treat a health risk (see below) of the Puppy if this falls within the first 14 days of buying the puppy, and agreed by the breeder(s). 11 Health Risk or Life-threatening illness BELOW: Is the only 4 non-negotiable exceptional circumstances or lifethreatening illnesses (see below) that constitute your deposit being refunded, and any vet bills reimbursed within the first 14 days from collection.; a) Death of puppy b) Spin bifida c) Heart Condition d) Distemper No other illnesses other than what is stated above, or perceived health risks will be considered from either you the buyer or your vets. 8. I the buyer agree at 8 weeks, old the puppies go to their Forever New Home s will collect the selected puppy at the agreed date where upon agree to pay the remaining balance via BACS or Cash Only 9. I the buyer agrees that the non-refundable deposit cannot be transferred or used for any other means. 10. I the buyer accepts that the Non-refundable deposit will not be refunded. 11. I the buyer accepts that these terms are not negotiable you were given every opportunity not to sign. 12. I the Buyer accepts that unless I pay for the puppy in Full, Devonbeesky Bulldogs on the strength of either missing a payment or refusing to pay the full amount, will without warning retain the Puppy, forfeit both the puppy and deposits paid. 13. I the Buyer accepts that until the puppy has been paid in full, all ownership papers and registration documents remain the property of Devonbeesky. 14. I the buyer accepts that in the event of any disputes arising, either Financial of otherwise, I will not pursue any legal claims against Devonbeesky Bulldogs. Join us on Social Media: Page 11

12 15. I the buyer accepts that if I pursue any legal claims of any nature against Devonbeesky Bulldogs, I accept that any counterclaim made by Devonbeesky Bulldogs will be paid by me the Buyer. 16. I the buyer accepts that if Devonbeesky counterclaim against myself the buyer, I will expect to pay up to a Maximum amount of 10,000 in damages to Devonbeesky Bulldogs 17. I the buyer accepts that if in the event of making any claims against Devonbeesky Bulldogs, subsequently Devonbeesky Bulldogs counterclaim against me and I refuse to pay. 13 The Breeder(s) states; The Information herein refers to us the breeder(s), is provided in good faith and is intended to protect the breed, the buyer and the breeder(s). We now state the following information which we believe is true to the best of our knowledge. 1. We the breeder(s) state if you the Buyer has previously selected the Puppy from a litter, that the Puppy sold under this contract is the same puppy that the Buyer had previously selected. 2. We the breeder(s) state the genetic health checks and health screening have been carried out on the Puppy s parents. 3. We the breeder(s) state the Puppy is not the result of a mating of two dogs related within two generations. 4. We the breeder(s) state the Puppy is in Good Health, other than as is outlined in the Schedule and as the breeder(s) specifically informs the Buyer before the date of sale. 5. We the breeder(s) have explained the meaning of any Kennel Club endorsement stated on page We the breeder(s) understands the measures that should be taken, whether by neutering, contraception or otherwise, to guard against unwanted pregnancy; and the Future Health and Welfare Needs of the Puppy and given the necessary advice if you the buyer has asked. 7. We the breeder(s) state is a certified member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme, he/she has adhered to the Standard and all requirements and recommendations under the Scheme as set out at: and/or as provided to the Buyer. 8. We the breeder(s) state have made reasonable enquiries of you the Buyer, in good faith believes that the Buyer can meet the Puppy s Future Health and Welfare Needs. Join us on Social Media: Page 13

14 9. We the breeder(s) state the Puppy is more than 8 weeks old at the date of sale. 10. We the breeder(s) state the Puppy has received adequate care and that the breeder(s) Devonbeesky Bulldogs has provided the puppy with the opportunity to socialise with dogs, humans and other animals it is likely to come into contact with and it has experienced and become accustomed to the sounds and experiences of typical family life. 11. We the breeder(s) state any pedigree indicated for the Puppy is genuine. Where appropriate, the breeder(s) will provide the Buyer with all relevant registration papers and pedigree certificate within one month of the date of sale, or as soon as it is available. 12. We the breeder(s) state nothing in this contract affects the Buyer s statutory rights including any warranty of satisfactory quality of the Puppy implied by sale of goods legislation or other law. 13. We the breeder(s) state that in the event you the buyer files any legal claim against Devonbeesky and/or Mr & Mrs Hollingsbee, we will counterclaim against you the buyer(s) for a minimum of 2,500 up to a maximum of 10,000.
