NEXT MEETING 7:30 PM. Monday, February 13, 2012 Linda Eastlake, Sue Reichel & Janet Berry would like to propose setting up a class for those wishing to do Therapy Dog Work. President s Message HELP!! We need help in finding a home for OCOD. Our club has become dependent on the whims and pricing of other organizations. Currently, we were fortunate enough to find a facility both convenient and free of charge; however it is not available yearround. Therefore, this is not a panacea for our future. We need to find a building or property in which we can plan for the future expansion of the club. Guidelines when looking should include affordable property, with or without a building, and parking available for at least 50 cars. This is a time where a soft market exists, so we all need to be looking for an appropriate location. Let's find OCOD a permanent home! (Remember: Our next monthly meeting, on February 13th, will be at the Daytona Beach Kennel Club, 960 S. Williamson Blvd., Daytona Beach, 32114, same place as our Awards Banquet and Christmas party). Monetary donations totaled over $250. I had a pretty good count on the amount of food donated prior to graduation (just over 350 pounds). But so many more bags and cans and boxes of food were brought the evening of graduation that there was no way I could record it all. I d guess that between what was donated after the September meeting,after the October meeting, and then at graduation, the total was over 500 pounds. Thanks to all who helped out. Dale Parks Quick Notes OCOD s CANINE FANCY DANCERS Annual show will be at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center again this year. Rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 1st and the show will be on Wednesday, May 2nd. DUES are Past Due, This is the last request!! This will be your last if not paid. OCOD: Donated 2 Gift Certificates for classes to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society; FUND RAISING QUILT: Pat Chesley will head the committee to proceed with the details getting the tickets, etc. AGILITY TRIAL 2013: Voted on and approved to hold a 4 day trial, it would be on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The set-up would be on Thursday. THE BOARD MEETING is at 6:30, Please keep it quite while the meeting is going on.

Correction to last month s Titles For 2011 Kitty Forguson and Billy Bad Azz Billy earned the Rally Excellent (RE) title Renee Morrow and Cooper Belfer Blue Cooper earned a Jumper Standard Novice (JS-N) title with 2 First Place Wins, and a Jumper Standard Open (JS-O) title with 2 First Place Wins, and a Gambler Standard Novice (GS-N) title with 2 First Place Wins, a First Place Win in Novice Standard and High Scoring Novice Dog at the ASCA trial in Deland on & Anna Johnson and Bonnie VI Java earned her Started B title in St. Cloud at the ACD herding trial Pamela Percy and Pattie earned the Jumpers Standard Novice (JS-N) title with a First Place Win at the ASCA trial in Deland on Ray Stites and Himark She's a Duesey "Duesey", earned a leg in Open Jumpers and First Place Win on Duesey earned Second Place Win and a Novice Standard (NA) Title on in Elkton. Linda Stites and Linray's Frosty Paws "Frosty" earned a fourth Place. Win and a Master Agility Jumpers (MXJ) Title on in Elkton. Renee Johnson and Fireball Kate Kate passed their Tracking Certification on in Lee Vista. Remember NO candy for your dog!!

7 Page 7 February 2012 Obedience Club Of Daytona Members Meeting :30pm The general meeting of the OCOD was called to order at 7:40 p.m. Four new members were welcomed into the Club, Doree Lamm, Dana & Donna Fitch, and Nancy & Steven Miles. Wins and Brags were reported. The membership was informed that the lease for Sica Hall would not be renewed as the price for the hall had more than doubled. The Daytona Beach Kennel Club has offered their facilities at no charge, except for the months of June, July and August, with a restriction on food and drinks brought in. They informed us that the kitchen and a small snack bar would be available. The Daytona Beach Golf Club also offered their facilities to us for no charge. Motion was made to use the Kennel Club, and it was approved by the membership. A Chairperson was needed to handle the Quilt, and Pat Chesley volunteered to coordinate the tickets and donations. Suggested donation for the quilt were $2.00 per ticket. Time frame for accepting donations will be beginning with the Obedience Trial in July and drawing will be at the Agility Trial in January Motion was made to donate 2 classes as prizes for the SEVHS. Joan Costello will take care of the paperwork. Motion passed. Jude Valloze spoke on what is needed for the up coming agility trial, and three ring masters were needed especially. Laurel Hendricks, Renee Johnson and Linda Eastlake volunteered to handle those jobs. A discussion was held regarding a 4 day trial and another trial during the year. It was decided that the Club would try to have a 4 day trial in New members were welcomed to the Club...Doree Lamm, Dana & Donna Fitch, and Nancy & Steven Miles.
