1 RIDGE TO RIVERS TRAIL PLAN USER SURVEY THANK YOU: MORE THAN 2,700 PARTICIPATED IN 2015 R2R TRAIL SURVEY! The Ridge to Rivers Trail Plan User Survey kicked-off the public outreach process for the Ridge to Rivers 10-Year Trails Master Plan. The raw results of that survey are contained in this public document. These results will be further analyzed and shared at upcoming public Workshops on November 17 and 19, 2015, as well as online at The survey was publicized widely through direct s, handbills at local businesses, sandwich boards at trailheads, press releases and media coverage, and through social media (including Facebook and Next Door). An amazing response from the community resulted in more than 2,700 responses over a two and a half week period. The purpose of this survey was to invite the community to help shape the future of the Ridge to Rivers trail system by providing information on how they would like to see the system managed, where they would like to see changes, and how to sustain the system for Treasure Valley residents and visitors over the next decade. This 34-question survey is part of a much larger outreach process that involves public workshops, interviews with community members, online input and a citizen advisory committee to ensure that the future trail plan reflects the ideas of our full community, while continuing to maintain and preserve the beauty, ecosystem and benefits of the Boise Foothills.

23 268 Table rock to Rocky Canyon Area 10/2/2015 8:30 AM 269 Any additions are fine with me! 10/2/2015 8:17 AM 270 Confusing, as most of these already exist. I clicked on my top 3 I'd like to keep. 10/2/2015 8:14 AM 271 The lower and mid foothills, with traversing trails that would make it easier for novice and beginner hikers and bikers to use. 10/2/2015 7:56 AM 272 New Harris ranch developments 10/2/2015 7:32 AM 273 I would love to see a connection happen from Lucky peak all the way to Avimor. 10/2/2015 7:09 AM 274 Harris Ranch - Table Rock 10/2/ :59 AM 275 Council springs - Table Rock 10/1/ :33 PM 276 Harris Ranch 10/1/2015 9:19 PM 277 More OHV single track, not Quad routes or trail tractor routes 10/1/2015 9:00 PM 278 Sweet Sweet Connie to Stack Rock! 10/1/2015 8:57 PM 279 A connector is needed between Watchman where it intersects Femrites patrol and the upper end of Trail 5. The connector need to be located north of Ferrite to provide a ridable alternative to the motorized and unridable Ferrite trail (for MTB). Also, a new set of switchbacks needs to be constructed about ¾ mile up Freestone Ridge Trail. Also, a connector is needed from the top of Scotts over to the top of Hard Guy (not the 8th street route). Another trail could be built that connects the top of Scotts to the Freestone trail. 280 Some kind of trail system in West Boise would be nice. Although I understand this is not as realistic as it is in the foothills. 10/1/2015 8:55 PM 10/1/2015 8:51 PM 281 Mid Hulls Gulch to Crestline; Mid Crestline to Mnt. Cove 10/1/2015 8:45 PM 282 East foothills/harris Ranch - Military Reserve 10/1/2015 8:16 PM 283 Is there an easement available to connect the new Harris Ranch North foothills development with the Mesa or Table Rock areas? 10/1/2015 8:05 PM 284 Rocky Canyon - Lucky Peak 10/1/2015 7:58 PM 285 Harris ranch 10/1/2015 7:28 PM 286 "Fat Tire" to "Watchman." mt bike connection 10/1/2015 6:37 PM 287 South of Boise. Some desert trails 10/1/2015 6:27 PM 288 In the southern area of Boise. I love the foothills but something south of town maybe even near the airport would be very awesome. 289 I live near Polecat, so would love to connections there--especially to the trails near downtown!!, but general, any connections that allow greater travel within the system would be great! 10/1/2015 6:09 PM 10/1/2015 5:57 PM 290 Connection from Table Rock/Wild Horse Ranch area to above Harris Ranch 10/1/2015 5:55 PM 291 Mid mountain traverse 10/1/2015 5:40 PM 292 linking dirtbike trail systems 10/1/2015 5:14 PM 293 From Table Rock to Homestead 10/1/2015 4:53 PM 294 Continue the low East / West route that exists from Military Reserve, through Hulls, over across 8th Street and the Highlands Area as an alternative route across town 10/1/2015 4:44 PM 295 Hulls gulch 10/1/2015 4:22 PM 296 Above Harris Ranch and farther east 10/1/2015 4:18 PM 297 Corrals area 10/1/2015 4:17 PM 298 Tablerock to Upper 8th Street 10/1/2015 3:43 PM 299 Barber Valley/east foothills - Military reserve 10/1/2015 3:24 PM 22 / 154

24 300 While I stongly support (and would help fund) additional trails in areas that are used most frequently, I believe that connector trails at higher points in the foothills would mitigate confrontations between bikers and other users at lower elevations. Would like to see connections from Scotts west to hard guy and a better trail connecting 8th street over toward lower or mid trail 4 around the level of trail 6. Also would be nice to improve the trail from Hard guy to lower Dry Creek which would keep some bikers off lower Corrals. 10/1/2015 3:16 PM 301 Harris Ranch/east foothills 10/1/2015 3:14 PM 302 East Boise / Suprise Valley 10/1/2015 3:13 PM 303 Any new trail system going from top ridge road to boise such as trail 4 or hard guy 10/1/2015 2:52 PM 304 I'd like to see it all eventually hooked up. All types of trails, from hiking to motorcycling. 10/1/2015 2:48 PM 305 Mahalo to the Around the Mtn trail - number 1 10/1/2015 2:01 PM 306 "the slopes, soils and terrain limit opportunities for" this is bullshit. What evidence is being presented here for RtoR to make this decision? All the new RtoR trails suck and are basically paved dirt paths. 10/1/2015 1:38 PM 307 SE Boise 10/1/2015 1:20 PM 308 Please connect Harris Ranch to Rocky Canyon Road 10/1/2015 1:19 PM 309 Table Rock-Military Reserve 10/1/2015 1:17 PM 310 Military to Table Rock 10/1/ :49 PM 311 Table rock, MTB friendly. 10/1/ :26 PM 312 warm springs to lucky peak area 10/1/ :13 PM 313 Table rock to military reserve 10/1/ :51 AM 314 veterans to seamans to hillside to hollow!!!!! 10/1/ :49 AM 315 Top of Trail 5 to 3 Bears or Watchman. Make trail 6 rideable and a cross connection in the middle somewhere. Mahalo to Around the Mountain. 316 motorized system is severely lacking in connectivity and miles of trail throughout the front. Both 4wd/atv/UTV and motorcycle (singletrack). 10/1/ :35 AM 10/1/ :21 AM 317 Access to Hulls from mid 8th Street near Highland View Drive 10/1/ :13 AM 318 WS Mesa to Harris Ranch, to the south & west of the WMA boundary 10/1/ :59 AM 319 Upper Camelsback area (around Sidewinder and all that area) - MORE and better Mtn bike specific trails 10/1/ :45 AM 320 Barber Valley - Alternative to Homestead to connect to current trail systems 10/1/ :39 AM 321 I would like to see more connections to Bogus Basin area, upper dry creek, sweet connie, and through Avimore/Polecat 10/1/ :29 AM 322 Rocky Canyon Road - Table Rock - Easterly 10/1/ :23 AM 323 I am not familiar enough with the areas to form an opinion 10/1/ :20 AM 324 Harris Ranch - Barber Valley 10/1/ :15 AM 325 Lucky Peak / Oregon Trail Reserve Area 10/1/ :13 AM 326 Ultimately, I would love to see connectivity of the entire R2R system, with the goal of beginning at Avimor, continuing to Stack Rock, over to Bogus Basin, down Dry Creek, over to Corralls, down Hull's, and into Camel's Back. Connectivity between Military Reserve and the Table rock system would be great as well. 10/1/ :11 AM 327 A giant Traverse from Highland Valley across to Avimor 10/1/ :11 AM 328 Lower Foothills 10/1/2015 9:59 AM 329 More connections between trail systems like PoleCat to Camels back 10/1/2015 9:47 AM 330 Open space behind Dallas Harris Ranch 10/1/2015 9:47 AM 331 Lower Rocky canyon to Military reserve.
