1 JUDGING PROGRAM Event # , Rally , Rally KENNEL CLUB OF PASADENA All Breed Dog Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials Outdoors/Unbenched Saturday, June 2, 2018 & Sunday, June 3, 2018 Brookside Park, 360 North Arroyo Boulevard, Pasadena, California (About one-half mile south of the Rose Bowl in the Arroyo Seco) The Kennel Club of Pasadena is very happy that the City of Pasadena is cosponsoring this year s dog shows. The Kennel Club of Pasadena was founded in 1906 and through the years, we have had our shows at various locations. About fifty years ago we were happy to move to our new home at Brookside Park. Everybody, including the dogs, loves Brookside Park with all the nice trees, open spaces and beautiful surroundings. Brookside Park was named for Mrs. E.W. Brooks, who donated $5,000 in 1912 for the purpose of building a swimming pool and plunge on land acquired by the City of Pasadena for playground purposes. It is Pasadena s largest fully maintained park facility and encompasses more than 60 acres. Over the course of the two-day show, there are conformation rings, obedience rings and agility rings. There are 156 breeds of dogs attending. Many dedicated people volunteer at our annual shows, and we offer them our heartfelt thanks. For example, one of our members takes visitors around and explains what a dog show is all about. For comfort and convenience, a first aid station is set up. We all look forward to the end of each day, when one dog is named Best in Show. DIRECTIONS NEW FOR 2018: "There will be a bicycle event on Sunday morning starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Rose Bowl and surrounding areas. It is not a race and there are no road closures and traffic should not be affected." RVs and vendors are urged to take the 210 Freeway west exit at Seco Street to minimize traffic through residential areas. From the East - Take the 210 Freeway west. Exit Seco Street and turn left. Brookside Park will be on your left-hand side at the intersection of Arroyo Boulevard and Seco Street. From the West - Take the 134 Freeway east. Exit San Rafael Avenue and turn right. Turn left on Linda Vista Avenue, crossing under the freeway. Turn right on Seco Street. Brookside Park will be on your right side at the intersection of Arroyo Blvd and Seco Street. From the South - Take the 110 Freeway north. Exit Orange Grove Boulevard and turn left. Turn left on Rosemont. Turn left on Seco Street. Turn left on Arroyo. The parking lot for Brookside Park is on your left. From the North - Take the 210 Freeway east to Seco Street and turn right. Exit at #2, Glendale Fwy, heading south. Then exit at Verdugo Road (15A), turning left onto Verdugo, and then turn left at Eagle Rock Blvd. North. Clinic will be on the right. NO GENERATORS The City of Pasadena will not allow any small generators on the show grounds. The Kennel Club of Pasadena will provide shared electricity for exhibitors. Please bring ground cover mats. 5 SATURDAY The compilation of entries in each breed and the division by sex, has been carefully prepared for your convenience. However, the Club and the Show Superintendent assume no responsibility for its absolute accuracy. The figure following each breed indicates the number of dogs, bitches and Best of Breed Competition, in that order. The Groups will be judged in the following order. Any change in this order will be announced at the show. Groups may be judged two at a time. NOHS Group Judging will start at 1 pm in Rings 1-2. OFFICIAL NOTICE - CHANGE OF JUDGE The owner of each dog affected has the right to withdraw his entry and have his entry fee refunded provided notification of his withdrawal is received by the Superintendent no later than one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. Under Chapter 7, Section 8 of the American Kennel Club rules, the following judge changes are being made. Mr. David Krogh is unable to judge. Pamela Peat will judge Pomeranian, Pugs, Silky Terriers, Toy Fox Terriers, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terriers, and NOHS Toy Group. Carol Jean Nelson will judge the remainder of his assignment (Terrier Group, Terrier/Toy breeds, BISOH). Mrs. Sharon Krogh is unable to judge. 8 SUNDAY The compilation of entries in each breed and the division by sex, has been carefully prepared for your convenience. However, the Club and the Show Superintendent assume no responsibility for its absolute accuracy. The figure following each breed indicates the number of dogs, bitches and Best of Breed Competition, in that order. Variety Group Judging will start at 1 pm in Rings 3 and 4. The Groups will be judged in the following order. Any change in this order will be announced at the show. Groups may be judged two at a time. OFFICIAL NOTICE - CHANGE OF JUDGE The owner of each dog affected has the right to withdraw his entry and have his entry fee refunded provided notification of his withdrawal is received by the Superintendent no later than one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. Under Chapter 7, Section 8 of the American Kennel Club rules, the following judge changes are being made. Pamela Peat will judge Poodles.
