Dark Green Rosette BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in the Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championship are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed champions in Best of Breed Competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. A dog may be entered in the Veteran Class without being entered in any other class. REGULAR ES Winners of this class are eligible to compete PUPPY (6 mo & under 9 mo) in Best of Breed Competition. PUPPY (9 mo & under 12 mo) 12 mo & under 18 mo BRED BY EXHIBITOR ELIGIBILITY BRED BY EXHIBITOR All dogs entered in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class AMERICAN BRED must be registered with the AKC. PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES Sweepstakes will be judged immediately before the regular classes and is open to all breeders and owners of bulldogs. The classes will be divided by age and by sex and all classes exclude Champions. The class divisions are as follows: (6 months and under 9 months), (9 months and under 12 months), (12 months and under 18 months). Dogs and bitches will be judged separately. All entries in sweepstakes MUST be entered in a regular class. Entries must be made at the same time as the regular entries and on the same entry blanks with SWEEPSTAKES noted in the additional classes box. The entry fee for sweepstakes is in addition to the regular entry fee. The money received for entries in the sweepstakes will be divided as follows: 30% will be retained by the club for expenses and the remainder will be split as follows: First Prize...40% Second Prize...30% Third Prize...20% Fourth Prize...10% The first place winners in the six class divisions will compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes. SATURDAY EVENING: A Pizza Bash and auction with the ever famous Jim Supple as auctioneer will be held at Bronco s Restaurant in Crown Point. All you can eat Pizza, Salad, Breadsticks and pitchers of pop FOR ONLY $12.00 PER PERSON! Alcoholic beverages will be available from your server. Bronco s is known for it s Pizza; is casual; is easy to find; and is close to the show site. 15 ***NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS*** ENTRY FEES :$24.00 for each dog except Puppy( 6 to 12 months ) $ Additional entry of same dog is $10.00 SWEEPSTAKES is $14.00 (Must be entered in Regular classes) Veteran Classes and Junior Showmanship are $ VETERAN ES ARE AVAILABLE AT BOTH SHOWS. SWEEPSTAKES AND JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ARE AVAILABLE SATURDAY ONLY A RECORDING FEE OF $.50 AND $3.00 AKC EVENT SERVICE FEE will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show, obedience trial or tracking test. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 5:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2011 at the Show Secretary s Office after which time entries can not be accepted, cancelled, altered or substituted, except as provided for in Chapter 11 Section 6 of the AKC rules. SPACE FOR UNENTERED DOGS will be provided at this show under the conditions specified in Chapter 11, Section 11 of the dog show rules. ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT FEES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES will be made after the entries close with a copy of the judging program. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE. ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS make fee payable in U.S. FUNDS. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made. THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB assumes no responsibility for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care, custody and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. The club will not be responsible for injury to any person attending the show. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and it's secretary have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising area. NOTE: Effective for all shows held on or after July 01, 1980, dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed Competition, provided this transfer is made by the show secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at the show.
