1 TODMORDEN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY SHOW AT CLIVIGER SCHEDULE OF ES FOR THE SHEEP SECTION Section Leader, Margaret Wood; Assistant Secretary, Alec Steff THE 87th SHOW to be held on the field near RAM INN, CLIVIGER Saturday 16th June 2018 ********************************************************************* Entries to: Mrs. M.Wood, Belsfield, Sunnyside, Todmorden, Lancs, OL14 7AP Tel Entries close: Saturday June 9th 2018 JUDGING TO COMMENCE AT 10.00am PROMPT ALL SHEEP MUST BE PENNED BY 9.30am PLEASE NOTE THAT SHEEP MUST REMAIN ON SHOWFIELD UNTIL 4.00pm The sheep committee reserves the right to amalgamate classes where entries are insufficient ENTRY FEE TO ALL ES (except Junior Handler) Junior Handler fee Please note, entries made on the day will be 4.00 per entry and subject to availability of pens. All entries must be on the official form and accompanied with the correct fee. Exhibitors must ensure they have sufficient handlers. TROPHIES All trophies are to be held until May 31 st of the year following the show. It is the winner s responsibility to return them by this date to Margaret Wood, Alec Steff or Stephensons Animal Feeds, Burnley Road, Todmorden. PRIZE MONEY Classes of 10 entries or more, 1 st 10, 2 nd 8, 3rd 5, 4 th 3, Rosette for 5 th and highly commended. For Classes of 9 entries or less, 1 st 10, 2 nd 8, 3 rd 5 Rosette for 4 th. Junior Handler, please refer to class. The show has approved MV/CAE Accreditation. Sheep can be shown as MV accredited or non MV accredited, please specify on entry form. Todmorden Agricultural Society has a detailed Animal Welfare Plan in place and reminds exhibitors that they remain the keepers of the stock and are therefore responsible for the health and welfare of their animals and ensuring compliance with the latest regulations. Exhibitors must ensure animals have sufficient food and water and protection from extreme weather conditions. Water is provided; buckets are the exhibitor s responsibility. Tail docking must comply with current legislation. Sheep tagging must also comply with current rules. All entries must be accompanied with a fully completed AML 1 The CPH number for the show is 21/076/8104 CHAMPIONSHIP The champion sheep in each section (excepting butchers lambs and junior handler) will be eligible to show in the overall championship. Messrs Holden, Bold Venture Texels, donates prize money of 20 and 10 to the champion and reserve champion sheep in the show.. CUP C1 Todmorden Agricultural Society - best exhibit in the sheep section. Stephensons Animal Feeds, Todmorden donate bags of feed to 1 st prize winners in all sections for ram lamb and ewe lamb classes.
